Ok I really want to find the calories for the turkey legs. I had my first leg in Feb at WDW and it was amazing. But I am still a Universal leg virgin. So which leg is better? who has the calories of them?

I will cast my vote on the best leg after my Nov visit :)

Oh and can I have a tag PLLLEEEEAAAASSSSSEEEEE?

Here's to wishing you many a tag!

Oh, and I don't like those turkey legs. They didn't seem to have any flavor to me.

See that is strange because when I had my first one (only one actually) it tasted like ham LOL BUT it was so good. I cannot wait to get to US and get one and compare.
The foodnetwork had it on one of their cooking specials and they were raving about it so I had to try. YUM!
So try again spideyhulk maybe you got a bum leg? LOL

They serve the bum leg at the Horror Make Up show. "Does this smell like mayonaise to you?"

I looked for the calorie count but couldn't find it.

At USF, they sell them on the way to the Mummy, just past Jimmy Neutron and before Twister, on the left side as you are walking down the main street.
Most of the time, you end up sharing it with a few people, passing it around, letting each person rip off a hunk. So the calorie count won't matter, unless you eat the whole thing, and you'd probably get sick of the taste at that point.

Thanks for looking for the calories. I am embarrassed to admit this but I ate the entire thing at disney. LMAO I saved up for it all day no breakfast or lunch and had it about 4 oclock and I was starving LOL.

:rotfl: that is esp. funny when Bill says it. that guy cracks me up every time. btw, he is the unshaven guy with the long blonde hair in case anyone is wondering...

I know that 1 cup of dark skin turkey meat without skin has 262 calories and that is without seasoning. Linda

This must be the most boring thread I have ever read :teeth: No offence to anyone on it participating.....but really...turkey legs and chicken legs?!!! Well...as the old saying goes...if you can't beat them, join them! I always find it difficult to find a cheap ice lolly - where's the best place to buy one at IOA/Universal?

hahahahaha too funny thanks for the laugh. Have you tried the turkey legs yet? They are so good though LOL.

Since I haven't been to Universal in a while I leave the ice pop question to someone better suited...spideyhulk?

I'm still trying to figure out what an "ice lolly" is myself :p

I hear ya about the turkey legs. I've never had one but lots of people love them and they are VERY popular. I would almost fly down to WDW for one of the citrus swirls at the M.K. they are my favorite treat on vacation and low in calories too :D

:rotfl: I forgot you call them ice pops!! We call ice pops the one's in the tube that you squeeze up and suck. whereas our ice lollies are the one's on the sticks...:p
All this talk of turkey legs has had a strange effect on me........I've just popped a pack of Bernard's turkery drummers into the oven.....:teeth:

Ah, like a itzakadoodle pop! you would probably find those at any of the ice cream carts. my DH's best pal is marrying a girl from England next month so if she mentions an ice lolly, I'll know what she is talking about :D (you learn something new everyday!)

I can't wait to try one of these babies on this trip. I've never had one before and I think I might just make dinner out of it one night when we're at US.::yes::

They are so good. You feel kinda like an animal walking around with one so try to get one and find a table so you can esat it with a fork and knife. They are so juicy so they are messy but it makes them so good !

I have not been able to finish a turkey leg, but I did like them. After a while, I got tired of it, though. It's just so much!

As for the ice pops, I'll have to investigate. Sometimes the mobile carts have them, and you can often find them at shows like Animal Planet.

Might I recommend avoiding the turkey legs as a late night snack?

Mike and I **had** to have one at about 1:30 one night before catching the boat from City Walk. I do believe it had been on the rotisserie for a full 12 hours at that point and was the driest and nastiest thing I think we ever may have eaten willingly. We stomached it for all of about a half dozen bites. The next day we woke up to a $40-something room service charge? Something about pizza and cheeseburgers and fries at 2 in the morning?

I hate it when that happens....

I kinda agree. The best time to have one is in the early afternoon, around 11am or noon. And share it with a few people. Each person rips a piece and eats it.
After a few bites, you'll be tired of the taste. A large coke will balance it with the sugar.
It's really a snack, and not to be a meal. Which is perfect around 11am when you just finished a few rides at USF.
