Calling resort directly

Can I do this to check on my requests? When I made my ressies for ASMovies I requested Toy Story building and connecting rooms. It states on the confirmation letter about TS, but not the rooms.
Do I call the resort or WDTC to confirm this and how soon before my visit? I'm leaving in 2 weeks

Couldn't hurt to call the resort. Here is the number to ASMovies (407) 939-7000. Calling the resort might help you get the connecting rooms you need.

Your reservation won't be in the resort's system until approximately 5 days prior to your arrival. If you call before that time, they won't have access to your reservation.

When I called the hotel earlier this week (ASMo), I was told to call 2 days before to get special requests. I wouldn't be in the hotel's computer until then.

I guess I will start 5 days before and the worse they can say is to call back!

Is it still productive to fax your requests over 2 days ahead? We did this 2 years ago, and it worked great! Just curious if this was still the thing to do. We may not have as good of luck this time, with the fTP, they may be too full to grant too many requests!
