I am going on the 7-night Eastern Caribbean cruise on October 19th but I just have a quick question about visas. I will be entering the US using the Visa Waver (as usual) green I-94 card. From reading the Disney Cruise Docs sent to me it seems that as long as this as not expired by the time the cruise ends and I have my passport with me, and proof of return air travel then I do not need any other documentation or Visas.

If anyone has been on the Disney Cruise could they please tell me if they have needed to get any special visas or whether they just entered the US with a Visa Waver and went on the cruise with that.

It's really for my own peice of mind. I don't wont to turn up to check-in for the cruise and find out I am missing something vital!

Thanks :earsboy:

The visa waver does just fine. It allows you back into the US after your cruise, without having to re apply.

DCL will take your passport off you at checkin and return it to you on board when needed ( worst part of the trip was having to present ourselves to imigration for two days at 6 am :D )

Have a great trip, we're on the western Magic the following week :D

Just returned from the Western cruise. At the check in they asked us if we carried any other form of photo ID and lucklily both myself and wife took our new style driving licences with us. Every time you left and returned to the boat you needed BOTH your key to the world card AND your photo ID. What they do if you don't have any other photo ID other than your passport I don't know (take a photocopy of the passport page of your passport perhaps?)
Hope this has been of help
Regards

Yes, if you don't have photo ID other than your passport, they take a photocopy of it to use for getting on and off the ship. The copies will be left in your cabin sometime during the first evening on board.

All you need is your Green Visa Waiver anything else you need with regards to entry on to the islands you call at will be sent with your cruise documents which you hand in at the terminal. One thing...when you get your cruise tickets it'll come in a big fat BOOK of stuff to fill out! It takes a good 10 minutes to do and you need to do this for each person cruising. Fill it out in advance. Definately don't leave it to the last minute!!

Thanks for all your help. It's put my mind at ease to know I don't need to be getting any special visas (there wouldn't be much time being as my cruise is so close!). I do have one of the new photo style driving licences also so the Photo ID thing with hopefully not be a problem.

Well just over a week to go now until I fly out, I'm so excited!!! :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

How far in advance have you been receiving your cruise docs? A bit concerned that they wouldn't get here before we leave! Do they take account of sending them to UK?!

All Cruise documents are sent FedEx - being in the UK won't be a problem :)

I got mine about a month before I sailed I think.

Our docs arrived today for our cruise on the 26th Oct.
Not bad considering we booked it 18 months ago to get our fave state rooms. :D
