Alright I am very jealous over here. You evacuated to DISNEY??? I wanted to do that, too! Unfortunately, the traffic and weather had other plans for us. We won't be able to go to Disney until NEXT YEAR because DH had to change jobs as a result of the hurricane. I guess I'll have to live through trip reports!

This was the BEST vacation my family has ever had. We had to cancel our cruise, so thank goodness it was fun! We stayed for 9 nights and the parks were EMPTY. I have never been to Disney when it was that empty. We went to Blizzard Beach one day and parked in the first row of parking spots. It was amazing! I booked the trip 6 days before we left and I was able to get all of my dining requests, except for CRT. I did feel a little guilty, though, when we came back and the parents at my son's school talked about the schools they had enrolled their kids in during the evacuation and I knew we had gone to Disney instead (I am a teacher so I kept him up to date)!

Caeser's my favorite parade in Metairie , I can't believe I'm going to miss it this year Next year DH and I are taking our vacation to New Orleans for Mardi Gras, I'm so going to have to get him to leave so I can make it for Caeser LOL This year thanks to Katrina, there is no vacation, luckily we evacuted and reloacted near the Mouse House

I can't believe all the people from home that will be here. I can't wait for Mardi Gras Day! DS and I will be at MK that day!
