Twice this week I had to call MS about my ressie. Here is what happened after I used the extension# for my CM.
First time I did it I had to put in all my info which I did. I was told my CM was out of the office (no big deal) so another CM picked up. Fine but this CM made me put in all my info again. WHY?? I already did.

Second time I called I used the EXT # again after my info was put in. My CM was on line with someone so I waited around 10 minutes when the recording asked if I wanted to use another CM. I hit yes (or what ever number they said) and the call in process started from the beginning. I had to start all over. What a waste of time. I guess when I started over I went back to the end of the line for pick-up.

Anyone else have this problem if your CM ext doesn't pick up
 
I have never used a specific CM. Just use the one that answers. Is there a special reason you are using specific CMs?
I was just told about this by someone this week. She speaks to the same CM everytime. I hardly call MS so I don’t see myself doing this.
 
paults, I have had this same experience and it is a little frustrating. Easily the last 10 or so times I've called I entered the extension of my preferred CM, but she has never been available. I guess I'm not the only one who thinks she's the best!
 

I have tried this in the past, and using the extention # for a specific CM can be useful but you need to put in all your info before you know if the CM is available or not. If the CM is not available or you choose to speak to another CM then you will be last in line.

I guess this is just how things works. I normally dont opt to speak to a specific CM anymore cause I think its so cumbersome to put in all your info.

Depending of what you try to do, you could email or chat to a CM. They can't however change your ressi only basic stuff like changing names on the reservation or add additional people to the reservation.
 
I have made a few phone calls into both DVC and Disney the past couple of weeks and have been prompted at the beginning for my member info and then again by the CM, so you are not alone with the doubling up on having to give your info.
 
Bottom line is that the phone system sucks. Don't call if you don't have to, we do as much as possible via email. When we do call we have certain CM's that are senior CM's that know their job, we use them for our business.

Too often even if inputting the information the CM tells me it hasn't come thru and needs it again. It's a poor system. The phone tree also got worse right around the time they added the mechanised voice.
