Calling MS from Resort re: Waitlist?

We are staying at the BWV from 10/11 to 10/22 with all but one night -- Friday 10/20 – in a Boardwalk view studio. We have been waitlisted for that night since late May, but have a back-up ressie in a pool/garden view for that night.

The problem, of course, is that if the waitlist doesn’t come thru we will have to move for the 10th night of our stay and then again back to the BW view for our last night.

If the waitlist doesn’t come thru before we leave, will we need to call MS while at the resort to see if a room comes available or can we handle that through the resort?

I would do both. We were told by different people to do one or the other. And be sure that you call MS every day once you are inside the 7 day mark, since the waitlist expires at that point. Just so you don't give up hope: we once were in your exact same position and got our last night while we were at BW. Good luck!

Jean: Thanks for the info. We got the first night of our stay (waitlisted for 6 months) the day before we left home last year, so I am familiar with a certain level of pre-trip anxiety!

Well, it turns out that my question was academic (at least for this trip). Our waitlist for the last night we needed came thru yesterday.

Once again, the waitlist came thru on the same day I called MS for something entirely unrelated. I don't always have a wiatlist come thru when I call MS, but I don't think I have ever had a waitlist come thru except on a day I called MS.
