I know this sounds like a crazy request but....if anyone has some extra time and a big heart....
I've rented points from a DVC member and I have a reservation but I'm wanting to change the reservation should a unit become available. It sounds like I need to contact member services each day and just check to see if there are any cancellations. However, I am not DVC member. The person I rented from wasn't willing to do this for me. Can anyone help? Basically, just call member services every day and check. Or, does anyone know a way a non DVC member can do this? Thanks for your help!!

A non DVC member can not call MS. But the person your renting from could cancell the reservation you have and waitlist for the one you want. If what is booked isn't what you want, cancel it. As far as having someone call everyday.......I don't think it would make a difference. Most days that pop up are quickly taken by pending people on a waitlist. Good Luck

As mentioned by the pp, only members can speak to MS about any reservation. And the member you rented from would need to do any of the changes.

I agree, you can ask the member to put you on the waitlist for that particular resort that you would like to change to if it becomes available. But keep in mind that unless the points are exactly the same for both resorts, you will have to work this out with the renter in case it's more or less the original reservation.

Good luck.

No one, except the member you have rented from, can help you. Members can not change reservations made by another member. If you are unhappy with the accomodations you have reserved, there really is no recourse for you, unless the member agrees to help you. Most members that rent their points consider the transactions final.
