Birds- this is a fantastic place for birdwatching! There are many species on the island and right on the resort itself. They have binoculars at community hall and they've led bird watching activities in the past, which were extremely informative. Pinckney Island is also a great spot for birdwatching.

Is there a cost to use the binoculars?

Chef Gordon did do a cooking class, but as the age minimum was 21 & DS--who works in a kitchen--is 17. It was going to be an activity with me so we were disappointed, but that was our only dissappointment-

That's probably because Gordon's "cooking" classes are pretty wine-intensive. They don't sell the wine by the glass, they "give" it as part of the class; my guess is that it's illegal to have someone under 21 enrolled because of that.
