Happy Anniversary Rochelle & Stephen!
I finally got a Key Lime pie and Paul and I will have a slice tonight. Yummy! Patty:earsgirl:

I have a job! Woo Hoo! My new boss called me today and offered me an official position post-merger. I right away told her about my vacation plans (let's get to the really important stuff first IMO) and she's fine with it!

I'll be doing Communications/Change Management work (process mgt type stuff and some PR) for the new merged company. I'll start transitioning the last week of this month and will probably report to her full-time in mid-Sept. That clears the way for house-hunting during the same time period and moving shortly after the vacation (again, in total reverse order of what we should do LOL).

Ok, now I can relax somewhat and get busy planning again! Plus, I think I'll pay off via Dreams soon just to make it officially official!!

Now, off to find a house, a daycare, sell this house or let the company buy it, etc. At least 1 thing of my 3,528 item list is checked off

Happy Belated to Rochelle and Stephen!

:bounce: :Pinkbounc CONGRATULATIONS DEBBIE :bounce: :Pinkbounc
You sound excited about the new job, so I take that to mean it is something you will find interesting and challenging. I am happy for you! Chris' job situation is all set??

Hoping you find just the right house, day care and commute distance as well as sell the old house quickly.

:) !Glad to hear the new boss is OK with the vacation plans! :)

Only 3,527 things left to do......

:Pinkbounc :bounce: That's Great Debby:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Good luck with that house hunting.

Patty how's that Key Lime Pie?:p

Hey!!!! all you DVC members did you get your invitation to the special sailing on February 2-6, 2003???? 2 days at Castaway Cay! :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

PATTY: Glad you liked the pie.

GINGER: No--we did not get an invitation to the DVC sailing.

Jan :earsgirl:

Rochelle and Stephen happy anniversary

Debby Congrats to you on your new job.

Yes, we got the info for the DVC members cruise today. We are considering going. We already have a cruise booked for the end of January and may just change it for the DVC one. We sailed last April when DVC offered their 10 year celebration sail and it was FANTASTIC!!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc
They had so many special things for us, free gifts, drawings, cocktail parties......It was alot of fun.

We also just ordered our tickets for MNSSHP. We will be going on Sunday October 20th. Cant wait!:)

I started back to work this week:( So I don't get on line that often to see what is going on. But I shouldn't complain, I have to work to pay for my cruises.

I got a package in the mail that has all the info for the excursions. I think we are going to do the stingray thing on Cayman and the Xcarat on Cozumel. I went to this great website for Xcarat and it looks unbelievable.

Well, thats all for this evening I have to go to sleep now. Have a great night everyone.:)

Dena:earsgirl:

DENA: What is your job?
Is the package about the excursions the official stuff from DCL?
What is wrong with my mail? I did not get that either :(
What is the address for the Xcarat website?

Sadly,
Jan :earsgirl:

My dad's booked a limo to take us too and from the cruise! What on earth, its gonna be soooooo embarrassing!

Emma - I think it's going to be so cool arriving in a limo. You'll be arriving in style! We did that when we went to NYC for my DH's company's Christmas party. It was so much fun.

The Key Lime pie was delicious. I was thinking of eating it when we celebrate paying off our cruise but couldn't wait until next Wednesday. I'll have to think of something else since the pie is almost gone.

We didn't receive the excursion package yet either. Dena, did you pay off your cruise? I was just wondering if DCL waits until the final payment is received before they send out the package. I still gotta get my DH to read the info from the DCL website so we are ready to make the big decision on excursions. Of course I've made my decision but need his thoughts. I'm so excited to hear the excursion info is being sent out.

That DVC cruise does sound fantastic. When I read two days at Castaway Cay I was so envious. Unfortunately we are not DVC members. Patty:earsgirl:

EMMA: Why does a stretch limo make a difference in what you wear? Do you think you must look elegant? If so, wear the Halloween dress. Or consider that you are just SO COOL and ELEGANT that you can ride in a stretch limo in your regular traveling clothes and still be the BELLE of the BALL as you get out anyway. :)

We got our invitation to the DVC cruise in February. Sounds like (from the website) that there are fewer perks this time and it costs more points than other four night cruises of that season. Doubt :( if we could swing it anyway so close to this cruise, but must admit that two days at CC sound really nice!! :D :D :)

We paid our cruise with DVC points when we first registered in January so if paying your cruise off was what determined when you got the excursion list and/or cruise documents, we should have had ours LONG ago. I think they send all that stuff closer to the cruise. I just wondered why DENA got hers already.

Jan :earsgirl:

I just paid the remainder (woo hoo!) and got an email from Dreams with the Excursion list/prices. I can print out the form and fax it to DCL. So maybe that's what Dena did?

We are already booked for Cptn Marvins and I don't think we're going to do any DCL excursions. If we do anything in KW it'll be a sunset cruise and in Cozumel it'd be the beach most likely and both of those we can do on our own with or without kids depending on how they do in the Clubs.

I can't believe it's paid for!!!! Now, SPENDING MONEY time! LOL

You can't make your reservation for excursion before the 60 day open window, can you? No matter, we are going to do our own.

Emma :bounce: COOL!!! :bounce: Would you come on by the Radisson and give me a ride.:smooth: ;)

Isn't that pay-off a great feeling...:teeth:

JAN, There are a few folks over on the DVC form pretty hot about the point cost and cash cost of the SPECIAL DVC Members cruise only. You can count us out. I'll save my points and money for a 7 day cruise. Plus, the water is cold in Feb. on Castaway Cay.

Anyone else interested in a Palo's Brunch on Monday?

I was kinda joking about what I was gonna wear! I acn hardly wait, the only drawback is that I might miss the auditions for the production at my school but Im sure they'll sort something out for me.

Hello all-sorry to have ignored my posting obligations!

We received our Shore Excursions today in the mail! We paid in full on the 13th, it is so hard to let go of that money!

We still need to order our shirts from Ray and Tony.

Looking forward to seeing everyone!

Dan

JAN I work at an elementary school as a teachers assitant for ESE children. I love it, but it can be very tiring!!!

I dont know why I got the excursions stuff in the mail, I had my cruise paid off since June.

I think the web site for Xcaret is www.xcaretcozumel.com. Try that out and let me know if it works.

EMMA: A limo sounds soooo cool!! Lucky you.:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

PATTY, GINGER & JAN What excursions will you be doing?

I called the castaway club number and requested the APL dining rotation so we will be at Lumiers on our formal and semi-formal evenings. The woman told me she was marking it on my reservation, so I hope it is that way when I get to the terminal.:D

Dena

Tom and I got our OFFICIAL Excursions list today. We had printed the list out from the DIS pages already so have read them and been thinking. Now comes the serious part.

We love to snorkel. I called FURY CATAMARAN in Key West today to see if they are the company that the DCL uses and Paula said Yes. (We snorkeled with them in 1999 when our four night MAGIC cruise was diverted to Key West because CC had been damaged by a hurricane.) I asked if booking on my own would be a good idea and she said that with the taxes it would be more expensive so I was better off booking through Disney. Her company also owns and runs FURY CATAMARAN in Cozumel.

But there are ancient ruins in Cozumel, so that will be tough. They would be interesting to see, but thinking about their sacrificial system makes me uncomfortable. My parents went to a lot of Mayan sites with Natural History Magazine tours and had guides who were doing their thesis work in translating the glyphs, so they know a lot about the culture. I am curious to see in person some of what I have seen in their pictures. That is why it is tough.

We are celebrating the approach of our departure by wearing our CRUISE SHIRTS today. (Thanks Ray!)

We enjoyed having our Caribbean night in Lumieres last time and do not remember which restaurant we had for formal and semi- formal nights so we are going to let THE MOUSE determine our dining rotation.

DENA: I am a physical therapists doing homecare pediatrics part-time now and have done school PT in the past, so we have a lot in common. Thanks for the Xcarat website. We will check it out.

Jan :earsgirl:

These plans are not definite.
While at Key West: Taking a ride on the Conch Tour Train. Then I would like to attend Madame Nicola's Secret Of The Tarot Cards Revealed Brunch at Nicola's Restaurant at Hyatt Key West Resort and Marian. DH is not interested at all in that so I guess I'll have to pass that up. We may take Ashley to the Children's Day at Bayview Park that's going on from noon till 5p.m. They'll be having costume contest for the children. BTW it's a free event. Another free event going on while we are at Key West is "It Ain't Over Till The Fat Lady Sings Tea By The Sea. That's being held at the Atlantic Shores resort from 7p.m. - 11p.m. For more info on this events check on
Fantasy Fest. Net

While at Cozumel we are thinking of Playa Sol Beach on our own not with Disney or Mr. Sancho's. If anyone is going to do either one of these don't forget to print the coupons and bring them with you. I'll have a few extras with me. We'll have to do a little shopping there.
Playa Sol Beach Mr. Sancho's

Grand Cayman, we are not completely sure yet. Maybe renting a jeep to tour the island on our own. Oh Yeah, driving to Hell and back to get some post cards stamped. Ha! Ha! Then finding a good beach to play on.

That's it for us.

Now while on the ship I plan on eating, drinking, take in a movie, & maybe a few shows. I'm going to try hard on this cruise to stay awake till 11:30p.m. to attend the Gala Desserts Buffet at Lumiere's if they still offer it. I'll be playing bingo a few times and dining a Palo's as many times as they allow us to. I also want to Experience the Magic by taking the Adult Programming Series.

On Saturday at 5 p.m. you'll find us on deck 9 the Overlook area watching the dolphin jump in and out of the water, now that is a truly magical site.:bounce:
