Karen, I just read your post about Flounders. Are you saying that Flounders doesn't offer care during the day while we are at sea. If that's the case anyone with little ones under the age of 3 would not be able to attend Brunch at Palo. That doesn't seem fair. Maybe some of the older children would be willing to baby sit while those who have little ones go to Palo's for Brunch.

BTW-Flounders usually opens at 1:30 - 3:30 for reservations on embarkation day. Make your ressies at Flounder's Reef Nursery, Deck 5 aft. Remember space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served bases. The fee is $6. per child per hour; $5. per additional child per hour, 2 hour minimun required.

Palo's Brunch is offered on Sunday Morning, the day we arrive late at Key West. Also on Monday a sea day and the last Brunch is offered on Thursday our last sea day.

Good mornin!

THe 9/28-ers are off on a mystery cruise. Where to go, where to go......Castaway Cay today for them, and from there is anyone's guess. We should be at the tail end of hurricane season, so I am hoping that we have good weather. Of course, it rained on our last cruise, and we still had a BLAST!!!

Yes Ginger, you read it correctly. On "at sea" days, the times for brunch and FR conflict so that if you have little ones, you would probably miss brunch. I pointed this out on my evaluation card when I left the ship, and I would love to see that it has changed. I am crossing my fingers for this change and for early seating for Sue Ellen.

We are in deep discussion regarding costumes. Masonpips hs the right idea! Formal & costume all in one.

Did other adults decide to dress up? I know Dan and Scott are dressing up....anyone else? We will wear nice clothes to dinner and then change into costume for the after parties.

We are not sure about trick or treating....it may conflict with other things. We are strategizing on other stuff...you know with little ones, you got to strategize. :)

Hope everyone has a great football day....unless you are rooting for Philadelphia, and then I hope your football day SUCKS!!! GO TEXANS!!!!

I wouldnt mind looking after them for a couple of hours. I mean Ill have to check with my mum and dad first but they're going to the brunch anyway so I cant see it being a problem.

There you go SueEllen and Karen, Emma to the rescue. Thank You Emma.

There is going to be a Disney Rep. at the Travel Agency that I work with next month. I will make a point of bringing up that Flounder is not available for parents while Palo is offering Brunch on the Magic. If anyone has any questions or concerns let me know. I'll see if I can get the answers.

No football for me. Off to the gym 7lbs more to go. LOL That's for right now, it'll change later we're going to a crab feast. Tomorrrow I'll have 11 more to go.:D

You all have a great one.

Debby – Wow, Mason and Lauren look great in their formal wear. Emily says Lauren looks like a beautiful princess. Got Adam’s tux in the mail a few days ago. One sleeve is a little shorted than the other, very noticeable when you wear a 2T. Plan to contact the E-bay seller today and hopefully arrange an exchange or a refund for the alterations that will need to be done. Also, my kids are getting very excited about the Captain Marvin's tour; they both say that they will swim with the stingrays. They want to know if Mason and Lauren will be swimming with them.

Dan and anyone else that has a room number change once on board the ship – Please leave a message for room 8584 and I will take care of updating the T or T route appropriately.

T or T list still stands at 23 participants. If you plan to participate please post a message on this thread on or before October 5th.

Ginger – I also saw the line about custume props in the letter that came with our cruise docs. Adam will be very disappointed that he cannot take his pirate’s sword.

I'm along with Emma. I don't mind watching the kids at all. I love kids!!!!!!!! I'm sure mom won't mind. She usually doesn't care.

I'm so happy! We were going to be on the 9/28 until we switched it to the Halloween Cruise. This is great cus I really want to go to Cozumel!

EMMA - My best friend is going on her first date today. Guess who gets to go with her? (ME!) Won't this be fun? I'm bringing the camera!

I'm listening to my Avril Lavigne CD. Don't worry! I won't forget to bring it!

Found my halloween costume today. It's an old dress that my aunt wore once. It's black and a friend will lend me her witches hat. Hee hee hee!

Going shopping for formal wear this week.

7 days til my 14th birthday!

Rory- I was hoping you might say that! My mum said it was OK so long as I knew what to do just incase there was an emergancy.

My friends wouldn't trust me to come on a date with them! Id probably do something embarrassing totally by accident!

Im listening to the charts to hear where her debut song(confused) is gonna be. And also so I can tape it. My tape seems to have gone stupid and my favourite song of the moment that I watied ages to record and listened to endless hours of airtime for. Typical! I suppose Im gonna have to stop being a cheapskate and buy it.

Im also going as a witch! My mum has this really neat dress that I wore last year and Im gonna do my hair some wacky colours with glitter or something.

As for my formal dress, its also kinda enchanting. Its black but other than that I cant really describe it. I wore it to go to the opera in Verona.

Is it a mexican evening or a tropical evening does anybody know?

I was wondering why the Magic wasn't at Key West. We just turned on the Weather Channel to see where hurricane Lilli is. There is a Carnival ship at Key West right now but the weather looks pretty bad. Lots of dark clouds.

Emma - It is a MEXICALifragilisticexpialidocious Dinner. We'll be just wearing Tropical themed clothing. We won't be wearing sombreros unless we find some in Cozumel.
So you and Rory will be helping out SueEllen & Karen with babysitting. Excellent! Patty :earsgirl:

Patty I'm glad you posted about the MEXICALifragilisticexpialidocious Dinner. So it's o.k. to wear my old tropical wear. I hated to shop for clothes, I know I'm weird.

After reading the Passport booklet in the docs I realized the tie die t-shirt my DH was planning on wearing for the Mexican night wasn't appropriate for dinner. We went to WalMart and bought the last tropical shirt they had on the sale rack in his size. It's not bright colors so he may even wear it after the cruise. I also read that shorts can be worn at this dinner so my DH will probably wear his kaiki shorts.
Quote from Webmaster Michelle:
"For those Guests sailing on our 7-Night Cruise, we will celebrate the spirit of The Islands with a special deck party. You are invited to join in the fun by wearing festive island wear including colorful shirts, dresses, shorts, or pants. (NOTE: And yes, you CAN wear shorts to dinner on Tropical Night)."
Patty:earsgirl:

So I can wear my sarong and really cool but ever so slightly see thru top? Excellent!

Just for general over all information. I will be wearing a costume, but not at dinner. DH will NOT wear a costume. So Jan and I have decided if any of you ask. He is a retired engineer on vacation. I'll have to see if he has an old pocket protector. The rest he just has normally.
So tort is at 23 kids? And the postcards and local treats are when?. And has anyone decided about the meet at the Rad. the evening before? I think the time agreed on was 7:30. That was so long ago that I no longer remember and I'm not going to read the whole thread to find it. We will be there at 7:30.
Jan-- you and Tom are going to WDW first or after? I don't remember that either. Mind going. Sign of imminent melt down.
Still working on the packing list and how to fit it in the minimal space I can see myself having. Oh, well.
Lovely day yesterday and today. Spent all day yesterday at Celtic Fest in Bethlehem. All things Scotish, Irish or Welsh. Lots of fun with the Caber toss and the 56 pound throws. Oh well now I have to do the laundry I put off doing yesterday. Estelle

HI ALL

DEBBY your kids look great in their outfits!!!

We were at Disney yesterday. Went to MGM Studios. What a great day. We had perfect weather and it was not crowded at all. There was no wait for anything. GOTTA LOVE IT:D :) ;)

We will not be dressing in costumes for halloween. I thought about it, but then that is just one more thing I have to fit into my suitcase. I am just going to wear a nice gown and maybe a tiara-if I can find a nice one.

Im not sure if we are going to do palos brunch with you all yet. I think we are going to do brunch that day, and probably at the same time, but we are most likely going with DH's family.

I have all my goodies for the kids TorT bags and am going to start putting them together this evening. However, I do not know what my local treats for the adults will be.

Well, thats all of my news for now, everyone have a great evening.
26 MORE DAYS!!!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc YEA!!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Hi Everyone!
I am trying to keep caught up with the thread & not waitng so long to post. However, there is not a lot going on right now.

Of course, for a few days I thought my souvenir from the cruise might be a cast signed by all the Halloween cruisers. DH, DS and I had a bike wreck last Sunday. I was the only one that got banged up. Same arm that has the hardware from a truck accident DH and I were in. Had x-rays. All is well. Just still sore. I don't even have very many scratches or bruises.

I am so proud of everyone that is losing weight before the cruise. I was trying to lose a few pounds and had made a good start but my treadmill died 2 months ago. I think I have regained the weight I lost.

Debby- Your children are so cute in their formal wear.

I think someone asked about dinner times. We have early seating. We like the early seating but tend to eat late when we are at home. Early seating on the cruise gives us time to get ready for the snacks later on. LOL.

That is all for now. Hope to have more to report next weekend.

Rochelle

I am so impressed that RORY and EMMA are willing to watch little ones so parents can go to PALO!! Way to go girls!

I had written down that the "Meet at the Radisson" was to be at 7 pm and then Ginger wondered if we could meet at an earlier time, like perhaps 4 and then go to dinner. What is everyone's preference?

ROCHELLE: Glad your elbow is OK!! :) Sorry it is sore.

ESTELLE: We are doing Fort Wilderness after the cruise.

DENA: The local treats to share with adults is an optional activity. Don't let it stress you out.

have a nice day all :)
:Pinkbounc looking forward to meeting you :Pinkbounc
Jan :earsgirl:

I'd like to go to dinner with the people who are staying at the Radisson providing we get there in time (without any plane delays!) We are SUPPOSED to land at 2:30.

We land on Friday (in a little more than 3 weeks WOO HOO) at 4:40. So we'll miss dinner most likely but will definitely be open to a post-dinner quick-meet out by the pool? Maybe around 8:00? That way we can hand out the leis to all who are at the Radisson and get a chance to meet everyone?

DS was asking this morning "is it October?" and I told him "tomorrow" - oh wow, this month is going to FLY by!

Lynne, M&L are very excited about E&A going on the stingray adventure with us - I think it will help them all feel comfortable out there - can't wait! And they ask me daily about playing in the clubs with them - hopefully that means they'll all love the clubs!

Hi all,

I apologize if this has been covered a few times already, but can someone email me the list of TorTer's and their ages? I would like to start getting goody bags but I want to make sure they're age appropriate. I am so bogged down right now with my Mom in the hospital, we just found out she has cancer. So I dont think I will participate in the postcards or local treat things. Just more things to add to my ever growing list! But I didnt want to disapoint my daughters and tell them we wouldn't do the TorT. My daughters came up with a really cute idea for the two of them for costumes, I just hope I can pull it off!!!

Also our family will be at the Rad the day before (I think we arrive arounbd lunch time or so) and we are looking forward to meeting everyone @ poolside!

Maureen Paone

MAUREEN ~ I'm so sorry about your mom! I'm glad that you can still participate in out TorT!

JAN ~ No problem. As I've said before ~ I love little kids!

Sorry to bring this up AGAIN, but are we doing anything the first day at the sail away party? I really need to keep up!!!

Can't wait til the exchange of local items (as I like to call it). Still keeping ours a mystery.

Maureen, I'm very sorry to hear about your mom's health. It is so difficult when our parents are sick!! My father has been having heart troubles for the past couple years. :( ((((Maureen))))

On a funner note, DS & I just finished stamping the bags we are going to put the T OR T goodies in. I think I'm gonna wait to fill them when we are on the ship because it will pack easier that way.
