Calling for a cab

We are arriving late and staying at Pop our first night. In the morning we are switiching to CR and would like to take a cab. Can I call the front desk from the room and request a cab or do I need to call a cab company myself?

When we request a cab should we also request a particular cab company or are they all reliable?

Call Bell Services and they will call you a cab. Don't call one yourself. You may end up over paying.
Friends of ours called a cab company from the phone book for a trip from CBR to WWoS. It ended up being a 30 minute trip after the driver got lost. We had bell services call us a cab. It took us a little over 5 minutes and about $10 for the fare including the tip.

When we transferred fro ASSp to BW, they were lined up outside the resort. One was waved over for us but we asked for one of the minivan types bc of all our lugguage and the stroller we had. One of those was lined up outside, maybe it would have been a problem if only regular cabs were outside.

Disney will transfer your luggage for you - we've done it many times. When we stayed at BoardWalk - just catch a bus to Magic Kingdom then grab the monorail to the Contemporary. Bell service will tell you what time luggage is picked up from their hotel for transfer. We just took a small must have bag with us.
