I am sitting here a very confused lady. I had made a booking for the Hoop-di-doo revue and needed to amend this booking. The first time I rang Disney, I got straight through and spoke to a very nice lady. I think there was only one automated option to go through.
Last week I rang Disney to amend this booking. When I got through the automated system, I had to input my phone number as I do not have a reservation at a hotel. This was unrecognisable to an american system. I tried the toll free no. (was warned it was not toll free to uk but was let through) to come up against this strange setup again.
My question is this: how do I get through without this headache that adds valuable minutes to my queueing time? This is going to be important come october when I try to make PS for princesses.

Anyone that can help, please step forward.....
Much love and pixie dust,
Claire

Hi Claire,

I tried 3 times for PS's at CRT and PSB before working out the easiest way to beat the system.

When you dial in on the WDW-DINE number, ignore EVERYTHING that is being said, and as soon as you have been answered and the message changes from "thank you for calling WDW our offices are closed" to "welcome to WDW" just press 1 and then 1 again - not too fast - just like 1 (wait a second) then 1 again.

Practice tomorrow getting through. I was so frustrated trying to get CRT, putting in my home tel number and being told "sorry - we didnt catch that, please try again"!!!

Just dial in, press 1, wait a second, then 1 again - and you should get through to the Disney music queue.

I used this 1 and 1 method, and didnt even get the music, just got straight through to a CM!

Another word of advice - I tried on a Thurs, Fri & Sat with no luck.

Got straight through on the Sunday at 12noon. I dialled about 3 mins before and kept hitting redial.

I have since read on these threads that Sunday is an easy day to get through on, because you would be booking for a Saturday PS - and a lot of holiday makers leave or arrive on a Saturday so dont book them, and also many of our transatlantic cousins dont seem to want to get up at 7am on a Sunday morning.

Have a practice and good luck.

I cant wait for breakfast with the princesses!!!!

Thankyou for responding so quickly. I did try this 1 1 technique as I too had heard about it. However it insisted on taking my phone number. Maybe I got a faulty line day!
Anyone else experienced this?

You might not be aware but today is 90 days from thanksgiving so the phone lines will be full to bursting. might be better next week.

Claire, I have to admit that I booked my PS's in July, when the "1 and 1" technique wasnt that well known.

Now I believe that EVERYONE uses it, so maybe theyve changed the system.

I really hope you get to make your PS's.

Good luck,

Remember to try on a Sunday at 12noon to be one of the first through.

I had the same problems with it always asking for phone number etc.

But there's a trick I learnt from working in a call centre a few years ago.

When your asked for your phone number, reservation number, or resort number just press #

You will get a message saying this wasn't recognised press # again and it will skip on to the next message.

Repeat this through the three questions and ou'll jump into the queueing system.

Worked for me the three times I had to ring, got though in about 15 minutes on a saturday afternoon, but only a few seconds wait mid-week evenings.

Good luck

This sounds promising, will definately give it a try. Thanks a lot,
Claire
