Thanks for replying to my PM....but if your going to respond to me at least be adult enough to keep communication open...I really would like to respond to the nominations for DISCars....And as far as your comment about Dan Murphy is concerned I consider myself a friend of his and understand some of the implications of your PM. Zurg has spoken to him at length on the phone about such things...

I called it an attack(Webster definition: to assail with unfriendly or bitter words) because I felt DISCars was being put down, and inturn zurg was being put down.

Rereading your post I must agree that I read into your post with own feelings...

But blocking emails and PM's from me didn't give me a chance to state this privately...so hopefully you will read this post and realize ....I reacted to your statement because there have been many others that I read and Have not responded to and you just happened to be the lucky one...but it would have been nice to continue to correspond with you in a private matter....But my feelings continue to be strong on this matter so I feel a need explain where I was coming from in my PM...I just was frustrated with the negativity....he didn't nominate the people he just gathered the information....he selected a fairly large cross section of people to gather this information from...some played others didn't....Any how I guess I will move on...thanks for reading...

I could be wrong...wouldn't be the first time I've misunderstood the rules of the DIS CB...but I think that addressing a particular poster in its own thread is against the CB guidelines. For whatever reason that Blondie chose to block emails/PMs (we all have our ways of stepping back, don't we?), that you consider lacking in adult behavior, I (IMHO) don't see where bringing it publicly here, along with a reprimand, is an improvement. Altho I understand your desire to pursue the issue further, perhaps stepping back as well might have been the better choice for the time being.

In a word - baloney! Aren't you doing the same thing? And now aren't I, for that matter?

I have no idea what was said between Blondie and Kim, but my DH also posts here and if I felt he was attacked (whether or not he actually was), I would want to communicate with that person. And if putting a post here was the only way I could do it, then that's what I would do. Kim already said that she tried the preferred channels first. Everyone deserves the right to defend themselves.

I've met Zurg and Kim and have talked to them quite a bit on the DIS, and I have found them both to be lovely, kind people. It makes me sad that people would be upset with either of them over something so silly as the DIScars.

I saw this post earlier and as a poster on the CB, it didn't bother me a bit. I was content to leave the discussion between Blondie and Kim as it's their business and situation to work through.

Exactly what "same thing" did *I* do??? SINGLING OUT A DISER by posting a thread TO THAT DISER about a PRIVATE MATTER made it a public issue, NOT my response to that PUBLIC message. There seems to be a big to-do on the CB these days about singling out DISers for NICE reasons (missing them) because others might be offended because they weren't missed, yet singling out a particular person to REPRIMAND and continue a discussion started in PMs isn't wrong?? Holy cow! (And this is in no way a reference to a particular DISer, holycow. )

I wholeheartedly support Kim's PUBLIC defense of PUBLIC comments about her DH. Personally, I think what's going on here is wrong, and from what I understand, it is against DIS guidelines, and I said so.

I don't know Zurg (Badshoes maybe? which I do think is a riot), but I do know people who are familiar with him, and I've read nothing but good comments, DESPITE any negative opinions these people may have had for the DIScars...I don't think I've heard of anyone who thinks there were ANY intentions on his part to hurt feelings, just as there aren't any intentions to hurt people with "missing DISer" threads. (I didn't read the DIScars personally.) I don't know Blondie very well either, but I do feel for ANYONE who gets publicly singled out in a negative way in a thread for that very purpose when it should be kept private.

If Blondie's way of stepping away from a PRIVATE discussion for the moment was to block PMs/emails, then "such is life"; the solution is NOT to bring it to a public forum.

Is there some sort of easy way to get to the DIS guidelines? I had to do it in a roundabout way by doing a search for "guidelines", and then reading through threads for a link. There's probably an easier way...I'm just missing it at the moment.

Zurgswife, This is indeed a private matter between you and Blondie. Being a moderator I shall link this thread to Blondie via email or pm [posters can not block p.m.'s from a moderator] although I bet some often would like to It is my hope dialog can bridge the misunderstanding between the two of you. That being said I am closing this thread.
