How exciting that you are going when the Christmas decor and parties are going on!! My hubby liked Mickey's Philharmagic a lot. He also enjoyed Pirates of the Caribbean, Splash Mountain, and Space Mountain. We skipped pretty much everything else in Magic Kingdom as I knew he would not tolerate It's a Small World or Winnie the Pooh. EPCOT was a hit too as it is all technology and science in future world (skip the Nemo ride, we both got off it saying, "That was it? What a waste of time.) and then World Showcase is really just food, drinks, and shops. And drinks, lots of adult drinks, wink wink. The boat ride in Mexico is nice and so is the one in Norway. Also there is the Osbourne Family Christmas Lights at DHS which I haven't seen but I know are awe inspiring. They are timed to dance with the music. My hubs liked DHS and the car stunt show, he thought the Tower of Terror was lame, but would go again, and he loved the Rock n' Rollercoaster. He rode it 4 times back to back. (I had 2 FP's for each of us and gave him mine) Star Tours was closed for remodeling but he expressed disappointment that he didn't get to experience it. There was a lot of entertainment on the sidewalk at Downtown Disney and we enjoyed watching several different acts perform. Also is the Boardwalk resort and entertainment there in the evening. You might catch Yee Ha Bob's show at the River Roost Lounge at the Port Orleans Riverside resort. He's there Wed-Sat 8:30pm -12:00pm.
At the Magic Kingdom on Main Street at the firehouse there is a firefighter's museum.
Prioritize the things you most want to do and see and do them first. Most of all have fun and enjoy yourself and do things you want to do as well. It's YOUR trip too. When he sees how happy you are and what a great time you are having and all, he'll be strutting with pride and his ego stroked as you look over at him beaming with that "Oh honey YOU've made me sooo happy!!!" And most of all, don't fret over what you don't get done or seen, WDW is way too big to see in 1 trip anyway, so simply plan a return trip. You might have to travel with someone else though if he isn't interested. (That is why I am going with Mom in Jan.) and he's okay with that. It was his idea so he wouldn't have to go. He agreed he'll go next time in Nov 2012 or spring 2013.
Good luck with your DH! I wish you lots of Pixie dust and Disney magic.
