Why do you like to bash about freshmen at your school? I don't mean to physically beat but like talk about them and how horrible they are?

I like making fun of the freshmen in my school. They're so scared half the time.

Just discuss. And I don't mean to hurt anyone's feelings. We were all freshmen once.

Hmm.. I think it's just because thats the "thing to do". We all were freshman once and the upperclassmen did that to us. For like the first month (and always pep rallys) people make fun of freshman, but then it gets old and they don't focus on freshman as much. Sometimes freshman are pretty silly though, they still think they're the cool kids like they were in 8th grade and they try so hard to fit in. But again, we all were them once too. I think it's pretty much just-High School.

Yeah I'm a senior this year. I guess it's because of how they act and how clueless they can be. I agree with Rora as posted above, but I mean it's not a big deal or anything.

i dont mean to intrude but i am here to represent the freshmen on the boards

idk how it is at other schools but we dont get made fun of TOO much
my school is more physical i guess like we get shoved into walls and pushed down hallways and i'm not gonna lie it kinda sucks but it doesn't really get better throughout the year if anything it gets worse
cause the same thing happened in middle school when we were in sixth grade we got shoved around my the eighth graders and so on and so forth

so yeah from a freshman's point of view
if anyone cares i guess:thumbsup2

I'm sorry they actually push you around! The upperclassmen at my school rarely shove, hit, anything physical to the freshman.. just mostly call out at them.
Some upperclassmen are really mean though. I hope that it gets better and if it doesn't just wait till you're an upperclassmen (or a sophomore!) and then things will be okay. :thumbsup2

the freshman i guess get made fun of sometimes or people are just like ew, you're a freshman go away. and they make them take up the dishes and bring out formal lunches to the tables and get all the sports equipment. But you get pretty close to the freshman and everyone else through out the year and by the end of the year it's just playing around with them if it even happens anymore.

wow.
thats rude.

the upperclassmen didnt do anything bad to me the first day, but ther constantly like 'omg the freshman get more attention then us' and their always complaining, and we had to go to the computer lab and the freshman got out of the class first and the upperclassmen FOLLOWED us and we took the wrong way by accident and then ther like omg why are we following 'them' they have no clue what their doing. and it makes me mad cause they make us seem like idiots.

When I'm around little freshman even when my friends and I are just out and about, I love messing with them. The other day, I was hanging at my friends house and her little sister [a freshman] had some friends over. Before they discovered we were older than them, they were friendly/outgoing etc. Then, when they figured out we were older, they acted like we were being all intimidating. So I just kinda playing with them a bit. Like mocking them sort of, making them uncomfortable and such. I wasn't really doing anything to them though. :)

BUT, I do love the younger cats. Most of my friends are freshman and under.

:goodvibes:

I just like to tease them because they all seem so short this year! I don't remember the freshmen last year, or even my class, being so tiny. But this year they're just really short. And we sometimes get annoyed at some of the freshmen because they just shove their way through like they own the place. but other than that we don't really make fun of the freshmen. Now, next year, my sister will be a freshman and I'll be a senior. I could have some fun with that. *evil laugh*

Freshmen get on my friggin nerves. Like today. Was riding my bike home from school. Two freshmen kids just stand right in front of me. They're walking backwards so they know I'm there. I decide I don't want to leave a tread mark down the center of their bodies, so I start to get out of the way. One of them moves so they're back in my way. I hit the brakes. Freshman kid looks at me.

Freshman: I'm going to have to take this bike.

Me: *give the freshman a blank look, so he knows that I'm obviously not ammoused....then ride around him*

Freshman: Yeah you better run! Har har har har har *in the dumbest laugh you can think of*

Me: *cue finger*

Stupid freshmen.

Gah, I hate people like that.

Gah, I hate people like that.

If he's there Monday and he doesn't move I'm not going to stop. In fact I'll stand up and start going faster so he knows if he doesn't move, he's getting a rubber tattoo acrossed the face.

Or I'll wait until I get a car and I can hit him in the parking lot. You get points...bonus if he doesn't get up.;)

The freshman girls at my school start all the drama. They're very annoying and stuck up
I'm friends with a couple cool freshman girls and a freshman boy.

That all depends on any given freshman. In my school, you have the two basic types: the cute ones and the obnoxious cocky ones.

I love the cute ones. For instance, the other day (the first day) I was going to my locker (during my lunch period so it was during a class and there were virtually no people in the hall) and this freshman looked beyond stressed and like he was really holding back tears. He said he was 10 minutes late to his class because he just couldn't find it. I told him I'd take him there. As it turns out, once we got there, there was a sign on the door that sent us to the other side of the school. Luckily, it was only his study hall and the "teacher" (for as much as they teach during a study hall) is one of my very good friend's moms and we're pretty tight as far as student/teacher relationships go, I counted as his pass because she pretty much knew that I wouldn't kidnap a freshman [although this particular one was very cute (adorable like as opposed to 'wow, he's hott') and very short so I could probably take him home in my pocket if I really wanted to]. The next day we saw each other in the morning and he was thanking me up a storm. I love that kid and I don't even know his name. My heart goes out to freshman like that.

On the other hand, you have the ones that think they're complete big shots because they're finally in the high school (kinda like Mike was describing). You just want to go up to these ones and shake them and scream in their faces that they do not know everything, they do not own the school, and you are the lowly beings at the bottom of the ladder. I hate those freshman.

Oh, and I (and by "I", I mean the entire school population) also hate the freshman who don't realize that there is a speed min. in our hallways.

Ahahaha.
I'm not a upperclassmen, I'm one of those freshmen.

For the most part, my school is good. There is no froshing and a lot (definately not all) upperclassmen are nice to us.
but it's the beginning of the year. People haven't had time to get their slut reputation yet.
So basically the basic reasons at my school to hate us is the sluts and kids who have the big attitudes.

The upperclassmen are actually pretty nice.
But they talk about how stuck up we are.
And how we think we are everything. And I won't deny that a majority of our grade is like that.
The worst they do is yell at us when we are passing or something like "Watch out for the freshman." "Move it freshman!" "Let the small people through."

Stuff like that but it's not bad. It's quite entertaining.

People kind of ignore me, and probably most of the freshmen in the hallways.
They don't speak a word.
It's like we're basically normal people..
There are a few idiots, but for the most part we know not to mess with them. Our classes so far are complete silence and the teachers seem to enjoy the lack of chaos.

At our school, the freshman would bring their stupid 8th grade attitudes in, and so I think thats why they got such a bad rap. Here in college the freshman thing doesn't really exist.

There's only one freshman that I really really really want to....BLAH. Jeez, this kid is in band and he plays the trumpet (unfortunatly) and when we're playing songs he's telling the upperclassmen they're playing wrong!

Uhh, are you serious?!
You don't do that in our section. Unless you're an upperclassman telling another upperclassman, freshman telling another freshman, or if someone asks you if you're playing it right.

I wanted to beat this kid up. (But I didn't, I wish I could though....seriously!)
And he's really bad, I mean he's like "Can we play pirates?" And the band's like "NO!!" (Even though we really like that song, we just said no because he was asking at an innaproprate time...) And eventually, when we did play Pirates, SOMEHOW, he got his hands on a 1st trumpet part. He totally killed the song. Loudly. Little mistakes, I don't care, I make them too! But, please, don't embarrase my section.

OH. And today, we all had to BE READY BEFORE 3. This kid, walks in at 3:10, undressed. The whole band had to wait outside in block formation and wait for this freshman to get changed. The trumpet section leader, the whole trumpet section (including me) were so mad. I wish our section leader could have made him run a couple of laps and some push ups when he was done. But because of this kid, we were already getting late for pictures or idk we were just impatiant.

I think this kid will bother me when he's a sophmore, but I don't think he'll do band again... he's having a pretty tough time already. I don't think anyone will mind though...I know I won't. Even the freshmen in my section don't like him. I really like the freshmen in my section....just not him. No no no. He just makes me mad.

Ok. I'm done complaining now xD

Oh, and there's a couple more freshmen I don't like, but not as much as this kid in band.

(And by band, I mean marching band)

I'm not too mean to the freshmen... like, I don't go out of my way to be mean to them.

My locker's in a very busy hallway, so if I need to get to my locker and there's a wall of people in the way, it'll usually be freshmen I shove out of the way.

There are a LOT of emo freshman girls this year, though. I do enjoy giving them hell, they're really fun to make fun of.
