A thought.....DIS Con 2002 had "sponsers". Everyone going adopted someone that couldn't go. Took a picture, a stuffie, or something to "represent" them.
Then when they got back sent them some pictures and souvenirs.....just free things....napkins, maps, etc.
If you want to do that....I would love someone to take me along with them I even already have a traveling mini me that has gone with others on trips.
