I will have 3 days without my kids for the first time in 15 years this summer, yes the excitement is very hard to contain!!! Would love to hear some romantic suggestions or experiences at Disney a couple with no kids could do. I have been to Disney with the kids and have done a lot of family stuff, but I’m looking for some ideas. I have read some ideas like staying at Grand Floridian private balcony with castle view and having a private dinner on the balcony maybe late towards wishes or maybe do a room in the Contemporary tower and a nice dinner up at the Californian grill and watch wishes from there. I have only stayed at Polynesian, some moderates and a lot of value resorts, so I don’t know what other deluxe resorts have to offer and would love to hear other experiences or other suggestions.

Stayed in CR with TPV room and it was VERY romantic. Loved watching the fireworks together, away from the crowds!

California Grill is a great place to eat. But if you want it to be romantic, try to get an ADR for AFTER the fireworks. The place clears out after the fireworks are over and the restaurant quiets down considerably.

One romantic idea I've seen on these boards is to do a monorail resort tour for dinner. Start at one resort for drinks/appetizers, then move onto the next for entrees and then finish at the third for dessert/after dinner drinks. Seems like it would be a fun way to enjoy the resorts and spend an evening.

While I agree that staying at the GF would be lovely I say pick one of the moderate resorts and book a king bed room. We have done this at both POR and POFQ and they were lovely. That was you still have a nice room but save a bit of cash to treat yourselves.

You can still do the private dinner at the GF, I was just asking another poster on the UK boards and she said it was around $300 and they had their own butler and the table was decorated and they had menus with theirs names etc. Sounds wonderful.

What about some spa treatments.

I agree with this! DH and I are considering an adult only trip this fall. If we do it, we'll do a moderate resort and use the extra cash for a spa day. Enjoy your kid-free time! :)

My wife and I really like the San Angel Inn. It is very romantic with the lighting and the boats going by. I would highly recommend it.
