Congrats bsnyder!!

There is a new Republican in Florida now, just waiting for his chance to vote in November...while we were in Florida, DH changed his residency, and registered to vote there.

Another Republican checking in. I do hope GWB gets voted in again. I think homeland security is the number one issue in this election, and since we haven't had another attack since 2001 - he must be doing something right.

Unfortunately, the networks and cable channels did not carry Secretary Martinez's speech, but I was able to watch it on C-SPAN. I'm glad you got to watch it too, Dan, and it was so nice talking to you today....forgive me if I was a little "hurricane-stressed".

It was a great speech, heartfelt and full of gratitude for our great country and the amazing opportunities that Mel has been given since he arrived on our shores. He's the embodiment of the great American Dream and I have to confess, I got a little teary eyed watching it. I've gotten to know the man, and his family over the last few months and they are just brimming over with warmth and compassion.

ThAnswr, the difference between my candidate, Mel Martinez, and your candidate, John Edwards, is that Martinez supports tort reform, while your candidate doesn't.

Pretty big distinction, and one of the many reasons I'm wholeheartedly working my heart out for him in the next two months.

Great to hear about your DH, Brenda! We'll greatly appreciate your support in November!!

Thanks Bet, for the story; I was wondering what the story was with Mel Martinez in your signature. You and all of Florida are in my prayers! I can't believe so soon after Charley, another terrible hurricaine is going to cause so much trouble. God bless my beloved Florida, my second home and hopefully retirement home!!!!

Oh yeah, that's a distinction. LOL.

After Martinez made his money as a pre-tort reform trial lawyer , now that he's no longer a trial lawyer, but a Republican candidate, he's for tort reform.


You can't make this stuff up. And it's getting better.
