Calling all Princesses! (2014 Princess half marathon board)

Hello everyone! I've been reading the boards for a bit in anticipation of registering for the Princess Half today! It'll be my first Disney race and my first Half so I'm very excited.

I've seen it mentioned a few places that you can buy discounted park tickets with your registration but I've missed if someone has explained how that works.

We will get a code soon (email) that we will be able to enter the site that will show the cost for the discounted tickets. There is no huge rush to get these, they dont sell out. I got mine last time about 4 weeks before I left and it was no problem.

With the discounted tickets, can they be added to your room/key to the world card or are they the separate ticket cards? We had separate ticket and room cards this past trip, and I want to get them together in one (one less thing to worry about carrying around or losing!).

I wonder about the park ticket discount this year as I have always gotten a code with my registration confirmation email, but not this year.

Since they only have % full for GSC then I should not be worried about just the 1/2? I want to wait to see how my training is going. Do you think they will add a % full for just the half once it starts filling up

I still wonder if that has been discontinued as it has also been a choice at registration as well as given a code. There is not discounted tickets for WDW marathon.

Someone just posted on the GSC thread that the discounted tix were discontinued this year.... ?? So not sure what is going on.

Calls to runDisney are reporting NO discounted tickets this year- or discounted rooms.

Nothing is mentioned in the emails like they usually do. So unless it changes.... looks like it's going the way of Marathon weekend.

I read they were not doing them but then I also read that they just haven't gotten it sorted out b/c Disney has not released next year yet. Is this year's registration earlier than previous years b/c of the GSC? Maybe that's why they haven't gotten the prices/availability yet?

It is early- so maybe? But there's been multiple calls to multiple sources all saying no to discount tickets.

Some on FB are writing emails hoping to convince them otherwise- so it's worth a shot if you feel strongly about the discounts (possibly) probably going away.

I would assume that the discounts won't start happening and released until the WDW calendar is released for that time frame. Im signed up for ToT 10 in October....registration was in February and I bookie our trip a month later...and we got a discount on everything...
I really think that Disney takes care of their guests...so I would plan on a discount be offered...

thanks...here's hoping they offer it again this year. I bought tickets for January Marathon weekend through Undercover Tourist, but was looking for just a 1 day ticket for Princess Weekend

I've only ever stayed onsite at Disney and like to take the bus/monorail (depending on your resort) into the race. If you are on a budget then any of the All Star resorts would be the way to go.

The "usual" discounts come later- yes. AP or free dining or whatever. But traditionally runDisney has a discount for rooms and tickets. They say that's not happening this year.

Yes, they will put the percentages up as they fill. I think they start around 40-50%.

And...the PHM and 10K percentages have appeared at 50%.
