Just thought I'd share that I received an email from Disney today saying that the half marathon final instructions should be out this afternoon Hopefully that will help alot of us newbies out with questions we still have!

This may be old news, but I just "checked in" on-line for our hotel. I got an e-mail that you can do this up to 10 days in advance. In theory, I will be able to just show my ID and pick up our roomkey in a special line and bypass the regular lines. I'm hoping it will make life easier and keep my peeps from getting cranky! (Nothing worse than trying to explain to a 2 year old why we have to stand in line when there's a perfectly good gift shop looking at him!)

Can't wait for the final instructions!

My visitor arrived this morning so my run was short. I was suppose to do 30 minutes but only did 20. My big run is this weekend, 10 miles. Then a short taper until Thursday and then rest until the half.

We are staying at the ASMu but it should work for all Disney hotels. Go to mydisneyreservation.com/guest and plug in your info (reservation #, address, etc). You give them your credit card number and arrival time. Then when you get there, you bypass the normal lines and your folder will be waiting. I'm a little fuzzy on the details about how to find your folder, so I'm just going to pretend it's a hotel fast pass. My agent sent me the info and said they just started it this month. She did add the "it's new and there could be kinks" disclaimer...

Here's hoping this will get me a little extra time at the Expo Friday!

Thanks so much for the info. It worked for me. When I tried to go from the email they sent a few days ago (regarding our reservation) the links didn't work and it was changing me from the Poly to the GF!!! According to the info I just saw we are still at the Poly!!

Checking in on everyone's progress! Sounds like everyone got their long runs in and going to start their tapper week soon!

I won't be able to make the meet at POR but plan to meet at the W tent before the race! I do have a few newbie questions regarding the 5K.

Is there a place to stretch of should I have all my stretching done back in the room?

What do you all like to hit at the Expo? I noticed it's only open until 7pm so I don't think I'll have too much time there. Any spots that can't be missed?

Lastly, should I carry my own water or will there be stops with water along the route? I figured there would be but wasn't sure since most of the info I have gathered is pertaining to the half--and that is next year's goal!

Thanks so much! I'll be checking in again but wanted to thank everyone here for all the helpful info and just the fact that I have seen your progress and it's given me the encouragement that I can do the half next year!

Caismama: I would like a name tag. Here is the design I used in Jan a,d can be used every year. It was an insert with the clear holder and could be pinned on or hung from your lanyard.

I posted over on facebook on the WISH group about the WISH meet at POR on Saturday at 4:30.

I'm getting pretty excited for the 5k, and I'm going to work this weekend on my sign to cheer everyone on during the 1/2.

I wish the expo went later than 7:00 on Friday because I likely won't get there until 5:00-ish after work. Hopefully I will still have time to peruse all the fun stuff.
