Oh my goodness, the excitement really is building isn't it. One week today i'll be one sleep from disney world! tracy i've been watching the weather too. Actually did look in accuweather and it has changed quite a bit already- i guess it's bound to that far out tho.

I've done my nearly full dress rehearsal- had to put a jacket on over the top because it's chilly here, but other than that it was exactly what i plan to wear. All ok, altho my nathan bottle belt slips more on lycra-y 3/4tights than my baggy shorts so that could be a battle for the first mile. No laughing if you see me!

The GOOD news is I did see they loaded the Spectator download. I see they added walking from the TTC to the Polynesian for the Princess, unless my memory is wrong (always possible!) that wasn't listed as an option in January. Apparently they are tracking the spectators now too *looks up into the sky at the eyes following*

CAITSMAMAM!!! Got the name tag!!! Thanks!!! They are sooo pretty. I saw someone mention taking them to Officemax for lamenting. I might do that. I also have luggage tags which I might now that I think of it use the Endurance Princess one for and use it to tag my luggage too! CAITSMAMA!!! I'm going to be covered in those Princess heads THANKS again for all you have done on them!!!

I was looking for the spectator information that Diane mentioned and noticed that Crossing the Line has posted their commemorative products. I think this link will take you directly to them.

It looks like the speculation may have been right about the bib colors. They show a yellow bib for Belle, a blue for Cinderella, a pink for Sleeping Beauty, and a purple for Snow White.

What do you all think of the "original artwork"? Personally it's not to my taste but maybe it looks better in real life.

Honestly, I am not spending that kind of money for the commemoritive stuff..
My medal and tshirt are enough for me. Plus i ordered the pin and the mickey ears. What more do i need?! LOL Seriously though, that stuff is just too $$ for me. I am hoping to buy another shirt - mabye they will have sweatshirts or something.. from the booth at expo.

Very cool to see what all the bibs look like !! Thanks for posting the link. I agree it's too much $$ for me to be buying. If ever take my medal off then perhaps I'll just go to the craft store and make my own shadow box thing. They are very nicely done though!

Bummer! Purple is my favorite color. I would have went with Snow White if I knew it was related to a color. Though, where they get purple from Snow White, I'll never guess. I always think of Belle in her blue dress and apron was forgetting about that yellow one she wears. Can you tell, I'm not really a yellow person. Maybe, I need to add some other things to my outfit because yellow just isn't going to go with my pink outfit. Hmm, I'll have my green Mickey head and WISH hat so that will add lime green. How can I get some blue & purple in there?

Purple is my favorite color too and lucky enough I did pick Snow White! You should be happy with the medal as it looks like the heart stone is purplish! The Fond Memories site (from the commemorative list on the race website) shows a really nice picture of the medal! I'd post it here but I can't figure out how to LOL!

My question now is what will look great with that medal to wear to the parks after the race is done!!!

Which bib (princess) do you think they'll assign to dum-dums like me who never noticed the box to check about favorites? Just what I get for being in such a hurry to register!!

One week to go, and I'm getting excited! Just need the princess logo so I can go get it laminated...

And yes, the race nightmares have started! Decided to wear my tri-skirt over regular compression shorts since it has snaps for the bib - of course on my trial run the shorts rolled and I got an abrasion... hmmm - I did use body glide but still... may be worth a rash to wear the tri skirt anyway - its got tiny dots in different shades of pink! lol

UP Disney I'm right there with ya. They didn't even have my DD's favorite princess as a choice soooooooo I made them shirts to race in with their favorite princess on the back. We are wearing a sleeveless with a large black mickey head on the back with our name in the middle. I have next to the MH Princess Aurora and DD's each have Jasime and Pocohontas. I got a jade color skirt for one to go with Jasmine and a brown skirt for the other to go with Pocohontas. See you are the starting line.
I told my DD's about the bibs and they said they were going to cross out what ever princess name was on it and write in their favorite. Can they do that?

The final countdown begins:
1 week: 5 days of work, 1 long run (but not too long), 2 short runs, 2 weight training sessions, and then I will be at a park at WDW

Add me to the paranoia club...it seems like everyone around me is getting a cold. I woke up with a sore throat (although it's fine now) so I am trying to avoid everything and anything that can get me sick.

I see the bib colors match the princesses (except the purple Snow White?) - I'm glad that I have a Cinderella-ish outfit (blue skirt, blue and white shirt, blue headband) so the bib won't clash.

I don't buy the commemorative frames/plaques either. For the first handful of Disney races, I would buy a shadowbox frame from Michaels (always seemed to be 40% off) and make my own using my bib, medal, pins, and a race photo (if there was a decent one). It is tradition for me to buy a race sweatshirt (and frame, magnet,etc) at the expo so Disney still gets plenty of my money!

Tonight is weight training at the gym for me. Good thing, since between running and spinning, my body is exhausted...

Hey all. I just popped in to say that I booked an airfare to come down next weekend! Yippee! Bad news is....the Royal Family 5k is full! I am not mentally or physically prepared to do the half, so I guess no running for me. Unless of course someone knows some secret way to get into the 5k race?

Anyway, hope to pop over to POR to see people--although I'm signed up for a Passholder thing on the Muppets, so we'll see.

I will try to get up and cheer for people on Sunday--may be going to Ocala to see my niece ride in a horse show.

They filled all volunteer spots awhile ago. I had sent them an email and they said all spots were filled. As I had wanted to volunteer.

to anyone who has had their child in the kids races before - do the kids need to be present at packet pickup? I was wondering b/c if i didn't have to take dd to the expo with me, i would prefer not to, but if i have to i guess i could..
Although, i am thinking, now they said that you can pick up the kids race stuff at Epcot Sat. a.m. before the race, which if dd has to be there, may just as well work out.

Im wondering this too. the instructions were not clear on that.
