Good evening princesses! Just checking in with a 10 miler this afternoon. I prefer to run in the AM but the overnight snow messed up those plans. Once the side streets were clear, the snow was blowing all over the place so I had to admit defeat and run at the indoor track. I wanted to run 12 outside today but settled with 10 indoors. I can't wait to run at Disney - it will be my 2nd time this year running outside.

I am also a fan of the skirt! Today I wore my newest purchase - the capri skirt from Skirt Sports. The leggings are very lightweight and the skirt provides coverage that running tights do not. There are pockets to hold an iPod, keys, etc. and they did not bounce at all. I wear a large so you do not need to be a supermodel to wear one. I will be wearing a pink running skirt for the 5k (ala Aurora) and a blue running skirt for the 1/2 (ala Cinderella).

4 more training runs until I leave for WDW  :yay: :woohoo:

Happy running...:)

I had a rest day today... almost 7 miles yesterday on the TM. I tried to mix it up a bit. Did my 100 minute workout, but instead of intervals with the 5 & 6 mph, I did them straight. So, I ran 1 mile @ 5 mph, followed by 1 mile @ 6 mph--2 miles in 22 minutes!! :cool1: Now, usually I only do 1-3 minute intervals @ 5 or 6 mph with my typical 4 mph. So, I was thrilled to know I could actually run for 2 miles!!!

I am beginning to understand "taper madness"!! Like the Penguin, I came close to buying a bunch of stuff at a big sale at the local running store yesterday!!

I have my 12 miler on tap for tomorrow and then I TAPER!!!! I did buy some stuff today at the A1A Fort Lauderdale Half & Full Marathon EXPO. I was volunteering for it. GOt the new Thor-lo experia socks, the "stick" for massageing out knots and the new 2 pocket spibelt.

I LOVE the pink princess skirt from runningskirts.com! I just wish I had seen them sooner, it was exactly what I was looking for too. I'm just too cautious to wear untested clothes on the big day.

Hi everyone!! Back from Foxwoods - gram is ok, the house near my mom is gone, and 5 others are condemned - neighborhood looked like a war zone..

So... we are back on the skirt talk eh?? LOL I had 2 Danskin skirts i got a WM last year, wore one for the Minnie - here is a pic -

Liked it, but made the mistake of drying it a couple of times and now it's not so good.. rides up, that and i probably gained about 7lbs since the Minnie. Have a magenta one also, i may try that on and see how it is, and do my 8mi. later today. I just couldn't get up early to do it, as i haven't slept good in 2 nights - felt good to get back to my own bed last night, but i will do it this afternoon after church. I also took care of my blisters last night ;) - 'nough said. :) So, i look forward to getting back on the TM today!
As for skirt talk - i am 5'6" and wear a size 12. So i am on the fuller side too. :)

Loving the princess skirts. I can't wear them I am terrified of chub rub so I wear capri lenght pants. Maybe some day when I have less chub to rub:rotfl:

Hi Jean...don't know the answer to your question but I did want to say HI!!!!!

Love the purses Liz which one did ya get?

11 more sleeps till I am basking in the florida sun!!!!

Good morning! I am debating about outdoor or indoor today. I was thinking I would have to do the 2 hours on my TM, but maybe it isn't that bad out. Low 30s with a few flurries... I think I will go out. Unless, I stay in...:confused3 I have to pick my son up at noon, so hopefully I will decide by then. I need to do my 2 hours and be showered by 4:30.

I was trying to make the same decision. However, we got quite a bit of snow again yesterday so I don't think our side roads are decent enough for running outside. I think it is the TM for me today.

Our snow didn't stick, so I think I will be fine @ the cemetery. This is likely to be my last long walk there for a while, so I might as well make it a good one.

YAY! Stacy shared race pics! Any other former racers want to share theirs? It's very inspiring for me to see you guys in action, with the Disney landmarks behind you. Very cool.

I love how you said "took care of my blisters, 'nough said."
Made me think of a NY wiseguy.... took care of business...hey yoose, fugetaboudit:cool2:

I just got done with my LR, 9 miles, and it was rough to stay motivated on the TM. I was watching Sex And The City (the movie). My time was slow today as I am expecting my "visitor" this week and I am always more tired right before she arrives. My pace varied from 14:50 to 15:50. And since I had to reset the TM I didnt really get an accurate time. But I did it and that is all that matters.

IMGONNABE40! I wish I could go outside like you do but the cold air kills me. Good luck on your LR.

UP Disney good luck on you LR too!

Lisa 10 is an awesome run. I hadn't thought of counting down in runs, that makes it seem even nearer!

Christine 7 miles on TM is really hard work and those straight intervals sound tough so great job!

Tracy best wishes and bouncy thoughts for your 12 miles, enjoy the stick- let me know if it's any good *** i've been wondering about those.

iceberg1912 getting 9 miles done is def all that matters- even so that was still a great run

Did 13.5miles this morning- was hoping to do 14 but my leg was hurting and for 0.5mile didn't think it was worth pushing it. BUT it took 2hr 03 mins so i cracked 2 hours for half! Admittedly it was mostly downhill but i'm going to take that anyway :cloud9: Somethin tells me it might not be that easy in disney :headache:

Hope everyone's LR's are going really well. Take care you guys that are out in the snow

Hey everyone I did my 12 milers this morning - nice and slow and steady!! felt fine and now I get to TAPER!!!! Yeah me!! Can't wait to be wearing our medals around the parks in TWO WEEKS!!!!!

Kate: So far I like my stick. I got the longer one to work my hamstrings and hamstring insertion at the butt. My left side is just wierd and tight. Hammy tight and calve tight. I even have knots in my calf muscle. My massage person is trying to get them, but I only go once a month and need something more than my foam roller to really get in there and work on them. Kate when you go to the expo have the person selling the "sticks" to show you how to use it and expecially with your IT issue, you never know it might do the trick for you??

Have a great SUNDAY everyone!!

Tracy

:scared1:

I don't think I will be buying a stick like that anytime soon!!!

Stacy, you created a lime green Mickey head for me and I had saved it on my laptop. However, I had to switch laptops when my other one got a virus (it has to be cleaned before I can copy anything off of it and I don't have the CD I need to do that). I have been trying to find the design in the thread but can't seem to find it. You don't happen to have it close by where it is easy to access? You did Vicki & Disney Yooper for me inside the ears. If you do, could you please post it again for me? Thanks so much. If not, I'll search the thread until I find it.

Ok, here are the new requests... if anyone else wants the castle in their head, lmk, i can add it and post your new design.

(Can you tell I will do anything to avoid doing work?:sad2: )

Speaking of Mickey Head's.... Mine is also in the above post. I was wondering if I could get one with Donna in the crown and just 2BoysMom in the body. I would like one I could cut out easy to iron-on to a shirt.

But only if it's no trouble...

Thank you,
Donna

Hey guys!! Donna, no prob. on the mickey, i don't know that i will be posting any today - still playing catch up with house stuff since i was gone for 3 days - but hopefully by tomorrow night, as i am not doing anything tomorrow p.m.

I did 3 mi. today - wanted to ease into it since i had to take off 6 days due to foot issues. :( And they are still a lil' tender, but i put some bandaids and vasaline on them and felt ok.. i think my socks were too thick though, still trying to find out my perfect sock combo. I am going to try lighter weight ones tomorrow - and go for 4 mi.

syko - and others -- please, please feel free to use any of the graphics for whatever you want! :)
