I'm doing well with staying under 16 minute miles. Now, I need to figure out how to do pacing when I'm not on the treadmill. That's going to be a little tougher.

I may end up getting myself a Timex Ironman watch. They didn't seem to expensive and I think they would be great for me to maintain my intervals. It may be my purchase with my next paycheck!

Ok, so here's my tiara hat for the 1/2. Tried it out and it sits quite nicely after tacking it down in 4 spots.
It's a $3 tiara from Party City with the hair tangs cut off and a pink running hat I already owned. Whip stitched it on and I'm good for the race!

Joan, sorry, can't help, i have an AP - but i didn't think we got special pricing for park tix for the race.. I thought our "park perk" was the special deal on the party tix..

I am really wanting to know now if they will switch the EMH for MGM that night.. i can't see how they can have an "exclusive" party event while they have EMH going on! It's really not fair to us. And we shouldn't have to pay the extra $ for party tix if we are really just getting the 10pm-midnight time frame.. I am thinking i am going to shoot WDW sports an email and see what they say.

techinically yes, but in my case it just means I walk really, really fast! LOL Cause I'm running impaired!

I emailed them with the exact same questions at least a week ago, maybe two weeks ago, and I still have not heard back Let us know if you hear back and I'll let you know when I get a response back!

I am so slacking in the training department. Since the full 2 weeks ago I can't not get my butt out the door and on a run - not even a 2 mile run. Its pitiful that I actually think I can do this in 6 weeks - that fear will hopefully push me into my training routine again. I actually am looking forward to a long run on Saturday - that always seemed to be my better runs anyway as I really can't stand the runs/walks during the week.

Sorry to here you've been getting the run-around. Why do they make this so hard? When I did Expedition Everest, there was a code that I got after registration. But I didn't get a code after registering for the Princess. I emailed Disney Sports about it and I'll post here if I get a response.

I LOVE biofreeze, got mine from physio and have to admit i do use it quite a bit. It works wonders on my ITband with no pain meds which i like. Hope you've managed to get some.

The thing that got me going was looking through pictures of last disney half and then making myself a countdown til the run so i could cross off the days and get excited again. I felt exactly the same- actually i found any excuse not to go out and run!

I just did a run outside- thanks for the socks advice i'll def look into that as my feet were burning again. Think my shoes as just a little on the large size so maybe my feet were shuffling around a bit. Managed 5miles so will be heading up in distance fingers crossed

I sent an email January 9th and received a reply on Jan 20th. But my email with questions about the Happily Ever After party I sent on the 16th and have yet to hear anything. I'm thinking part of the delay is that they don't know the answers

Hopefully we'll all get answers soon though!

I heard back from Rebecca today on the headbands. Here is what she had to say...

Yes you can have this color exclusive to your group No problem.

1) Yes $5 each

2) Yes individual for shipment through an email or phone call directly to
me. Order date for shipment by feb. 25. Order dat for pick up right through to actual expo.

3) It is impossible for me to have orders through the website for an
exclusive band with the discount of $5 each. It will have to be through an
email or phone call.

So, we will have the magenta band as an exclusive for our WISH group. Seems like the easiest thing to do at this point is for eveyone to order their own, then either have it shipped, or pick it up at the Expo. She is really making this very easy for us!!

When you order via email or phone, make sure you ask for the WISH headband. I will PM the email and phone info (as I don't feel it is my place to share this in a public forum) to those who I have had PM's from on this in the past. If you don't have a PM from me soon, PM me so I can be sure anyone who wants to order a headband can do so.

Oh, I have also asked if we can also order additional products at the same time, I am awaiting a response.

Ditto. Lauren is right. I try to raise my arms when I am walking like the ACTUAL speed walkers b/c it really does increase your speed. But frankly, I consider any walking that is fast for exercise purposes as "powerwalking." To me it's a psychological boost and sounds better.
