Sinve the P&P has been changed, do you think that WDW will offer refunds to those who opt out? I purchased the party tickets based on the fact that it was at MK. I'm so disappointed. This will be the 3rd 5k that we've done at WDW and party tickets for participants were included in the last 2. I'm not sure what to expect at DHS. What attractions will be open? What are the party times? Not sure if we want to go...

Yup, this would all be good info to know .. i wish they would have posted all the details.. i guess we will have to wait and see if they offer refunds... i really wish they would let us know.. don't they know some of us are OCD planners?!!

I read that DHS will only be open to marathoners and our guests. Frankly, this is a more attractive party to me. However, I probably will skip this one too since my friend can't ride ToT and RnR due to spinal fusion surgery. It would be great to have that crowd limit for TSM...but not sure that is worth the price of our admissions.

Very true! $$$$$$ It already hurts the wallet since it is in peak season!

Here is a question I have. Is the park only open to us, like the other special events? And if so what is open. I don't even know! I was just sitting here thinking about what is open for the EMH and realized we have only done one EMH and that was a morning so we could get on TSM without a wait.

it states that the party is for princess marathoner's and family/friends.. so i would assume that it's not open to the public. But, i would agree, it would be nice to know the times..

I was thinking about taking alcohol off my training diet. That is easy to say on Monday. Now that Friday is here I am thinking differently. I better head home and hit the Wii before my DH gets home and twists my arm to have happy hour with him!

Ha ha i was giggling at all you guys 'working hard'. Can't get on disboards at work- tut tut. Those LGMH princesses are so brilliant! Can't wait to get spotting people.

New course wise- not sure how i feel really. Having done minnie last year at least it's totally diff to that, but really feel for marathon weekenders. Anyone know how flat/hilly this run is? LOVE the castle bit tho

I've had a whole week off running thanks to flu but aiming to get my lungs back out there on monday. Dreading seeing how much endurance i've lost since then

Probably won't get too many answers to your questions until after the weekend. Most everyone is already at WDW for marathon weekend. I am sitting here at home trying to get all my stuff together so we can leave first thing in the morning (I feel like I am the last one leaving for the marathon - 2 races will already be run by time I get there - well the 5k was run this morning.) I haven't ran since Monday but I am in taper (and frankly I didn't have any time to get a run in. I am just hoping that my training is good enough to get me through the whole 26.2 miles in a time that I am ok with.

As far as the after party for the Princess 1/2 where was the information? I saw the course map but wasn't able to find any party info.

And Stacy - good luck on your 6 miles on the TM - you can do it. I did all my long long runs on the TM - 16, 18 and 20 miles. My advice if your TM is by a TV - is get a DVD and pop that in - the miles will fly by and you will be done before you know it.

Hey everyone! I just found this board! I am running the Princess Mini and this will be my first Mini-Marathon. I've always wanted to do one so I thought what better way to motivate myself than a trip to Disney and Tiara Medal! I however, very disappointed about the Pirate and Princess Party being cancelled. I am not sure the DHS one really excites me. My girls are 3 and 1 so theres not nearly as much stuff to do there with them. We'll see though. I do have a questions though, I've seen lots of pictures that people took during their races, How do you run with your camera?

Normally I'm not one for stirrin up trouble....
but do you think it would be worth it if we all wrote to Disney to "suggest" that we all would rather have the P&P party and not the DHS party. There are a number of us, and some people are even talking about canceling their original party tickets.


Just an idea... I'm quite disappointed. If it's the inaugural Princess Half Marathon... exactly WHERE are the Princesses at DHS???
