Thanks for the info getnthinr. I must register for the race and my DD #2 too. DD #1 will not be able to go now as she came down with mono and college is more important than running right now. I think the Breakfast looks great as we wanted to do a character meal.

Training is going well...now I have to take the week off and go to Colorado and ski and spent Christmas with oldest DS. We will have our family together!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Merry Christmas to all that celebrate!

FYI: I talked to a person at Disney said Disney is still working on the course. They have a meeting tomorrow so looks like it will be different from original. They are in major crisis mode getting ready for Marathon week.

I also here they aren't sure where to do post race party. They are looking at DHS and other venues. Will let you know more as things progress.

Robert, What post race party? The P&P party? I am under the impression via the email we just got and the site, that the P&P party is still a go.. ??

Joan, I'll tell ya, a week sking in CO sure sounds like XT to me!! Personally, i would rather be on the TM, i am soooo not a ski girl.. LOL
When i was in high school, a friend and i decided to do the ski trip for a day, well... let's just we only went down the mountain once - ( half on our butts after falling, and the other half walking..) LOL

I am starting to feel more normal, I guess the standing on my head worked, b/c it is more in my head now, and working it's way out.. I am going to jump back in my training tomorrow. :)

Merry Christmas to all my fellow Princess runners. I hope that all your training programs are going well.

Happy christmas everyone! Hope next year brings lots of wonderful running opportunities! :goodvibes

Hi all! I hope I can join the group; I know I'm late to the "party". :)

DH and I are thinking about running the 5k. I've been to the official website but didn't see many details about the actual run. Where does it start and end? We get to go through Epcot, right?

Thanks for any information!

Ok, I'm ETA: While reading through 20+ pages this morning, I found disneyrunning.com (thanks Robert!) and got my location question answered. Now, is the breakfast above, is that the same thing as the P&PP? I'm confused on that.

Also, I'm wondering how this is going to work with my daughter riding in a stroller. She'll be almost 2 so I just wonder the logistics of getting her up early, etc. How it works with a possibly cranky 2YO. :)

And you can listen to an iPod for the 5k right?

Thanks!

Merry Christmas everyone! Sorry i am late with that! LOL

Santa was good to me, got yoga pants made with Seaweed.. (yup you read that right..), weights, UA wristbands..

Mangaged to jump on the TM on Christmas Day and do my 3 miles training from the MFM training plan.. Today is supposed to be 5 miles, but considering that i haven't worked out in a week (besides Christmas day) due to my cold, i may only do 4 miles, i don't want to add too many miles too fast.. 5 may be pushing it.. but, we'll see.

Taking dd to Disney On Ice today (although now she is sick with a cold) :(

I still have a decent cough, and chest is heavy - but i did well on the TM the other day.. Chest felt ok - til i stopped, then it was a bit harder to breathe and i was coughing. Oh well.

Hope everyone has a good weekend!

Caitsmama You better be gettin' well.

No training this week as I have been in winter wonderland ( Copper Mountain, CO) this week. I have done a little skiing and quite a bit of cooking and eating and coffee drinking. Feeding my four adult "children" and DH. We have had a wonderful Christmas together. Hope everyone has had a happy holiday!

Have fun Joan! I was born just around the corner from Copper in Leadville. I personally prefer Cooper Mountain. I haven't been there in 19 years though, so things might be different.

Hi Vettechick
Welcome. I followed your trip reports I hope you will write about the races. Beautiful baby! I am also doing the 5k with a stroller (lime green Easy walker :0) ) My ds will be a week shy of 1 so I am also wondering how that is going to work out. The breakfast is a separate offer from the PPP that they were offering at night after the 1/2. There seems to be a question on whether they will offer the PPP as all of the other PPPs in that time period were cancelled.
Ive never run at Disney (or anywhere) but from what I have read is that ipods are not allowed but if you are discreet they dont enforce it. If I am wrong please someone correct me.

Thanks, daisylove! I guess we'll learn quick how its going to be getting our toddlers up early. :rotfl: I'm hoping I can move her sleeping from the crib to car and she won't actually wake up til we get there. Anyone know what time you have to be there before the race?

Can't back out now, I just signed up! DH and I are going to run the 5K, and he's gonna push DD20m in her stroller. This will be our first 5K (actually my second - I did one in elementary school but that hardly counts!).

I don't know if I'm more excited for the race or that I convinced DH to another WDW trip so soon after our last! :yay:

Add me to the list please. :thumbsup2

Welcome VetteChick99! I'm glad y'all will be joining us! Are we neighbors?? :hippie:

We are! I am south of Dublin but grew up not far from you. Spent many a day shopping and many a night partying in Savannah. :rotfl:

Welcome VetteChick99!! You will have a blast, and whatever works to go back to WDW - that's how i see it!!

BTW - do you know where you will be staying?

Thanks!! I don't know yet, but probably off-site. We stayed at CSR in October and it was so nice, but we really need more than one room. DD naps every afternoon and that leaves us sitting on the porch. Of course we did have a few cocktails and a wonderful view, but it gets old after hour 3. :rotfl:

Anyway, I would stay at a DVC but I just can't justify their weekend rates for a 1-bedroom. :scared1: So I'm been thinking about Bonnet Creek. Any reviews?

No reviews here but would welcome some as well as we are staying at bonnet creek in a 2 bedroom with some friends who are also running. They have great rates for being so close to the parks
