hey all hope everyone had a good weekend training and all!
I finally went to the running store here, and i feel like i became an official runner! LOL
i got new sneakers and some running gels and the jelly Belly beans to try for energy... i run an 8k on thanksgiving morning...

So,I am bored already and it is only 1015! It's going to be a slow week. I feel like I am back in grade school and waiting to get out for Holiday break! Let's start a little discussion.

What is your favorite post run treat??

Mine is a McD's Iced Coffee. Yumm!!!! I have tried to make them at home but alas, it just isn't the same.

Post race treat- orginally tried this on our first WDW holiday and have to get family to bring it home for me (many years later!) - Hersheys chocolate milk

I've been asked to run the boston half marathon in april with a friend. It's only 5 months away- that's totally not do-able isn't it? I thought you had to be within a qualifying time too, so it's odd sports tours international so you don't anymore.

Me too. I checked this afternoon and it was still there.

We've never done a Pirate and Princess Party. Have you guys? What's all the buzz about? Is it worth the price for two adults?

I did the P &P party twice last january. It was a lot of fun as there was no line for rides and the fireworks were great. My DD and I rode BTHRR 4 times in a row. I did get a discounted ticket for around $35 which was a great price, they seem high now.

That's cool. Is the biggest advantage that you just get to stay later? Are the fireworks different?

Oh yeah...and the discount price they are giving us...Didn't seem like much of a discount did it?

We did it last year - got DVC discount so not too bad price wise. Fireworks are really cool, parade is different and lines are shorter. However I emailed Disney about the so called "special price". Haven't heard back (surprise). It was fun but I am not paying $46 for it.

I called a few days ago to book my daughters into the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique on the same day as the half marathon Princess and Pirate party and the lady I talked to mentioned that all the P&P parties been canceled. I hope the half marathon one is still on but she didn't make it sound too hopeful!

I heard the same thing but Disney is famous for "cancelling" something and then bringing it back out as a "surprise".

i have no idea what to figure or tell my family who is watching me...
i plan on running and walking...
i also plan on doing a 10k next month so maybe i can get into a better starting grid...

The P&PP is still on for marathon weekend. The Disney sports website seems to have been changed, but it specifically says that there is a party that weekend and to visit the main site to see other dates when they are released.

It is really hard to get things lined up and planned when things seem to keep getting changed.

Is this typical for Disney events? When should I feel secure in what they tell me?

Also, I did not get a code (that I recall) when I registered for discount park passes!?

I don't believe I am going to the P&PP party, trying to do this trip on a budget since it is a solo trip and we will have just been in Jan.

Can't wait....promise to check in more often.

hey all- i finished my turkey trot of 8k without stopping to walk! LOl
that was my big accomplishment and did it in 50 minutes...
now all i have to do is do that run 2.5 times to equal the 13.1 miles...
its a start...!!
