$135 for the VALUE!!!:scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

Disney is going to price people right off property! :wizard: Pixie dust that a code comes out. (DVC is looking like a better decision every year)

Joan: Good luck on pricing and I hope you're able to joan us!

Trimom: If I can in any way talk you into DVC, let me do it! I love it and only wish we bought in sooner. If you need any tips or info, please feel free to PM me.

Lauren - :thumbsup2 We've been DVC members for 5 years now. Which is why I had no idea that rack rate for All-Stars was up to $125. Best decision ever!

I have 4 nights booked at a value in Jan for $135 less than my 3 nights in March. I don't get it. I can't talk DH into DVC.

We have been DVC members since 2000. It was the best decision we've made regarding vacations and Disney. I highly recommend it. If it weren't for DVC, we probably would not have considered the Princess run. My children just love the fact that vacation stays are sponsored by Mom and Dad. We just love the fact that we get "family" time with our grown children and grandchildren. It's the best!

Hi,
I know I'm a little late jumping in but I just joined in on WISH. I'll be doing the Princess half in March. I live in Orlando so may not be staying on property unless I decide to splurge! Would love to be DVC member so I could run away to my happy place more often!:woohoo:

I'm also loving our DVC. We bought last December and have used it for three trips. One as a couple; one with our two grown daughters; and one with our girls, my mom, sister, niece & nephew. This wouldn't have been possible without DVC. We are looking forward to using it during the Princess Half.

Woohoo!!! Welcome! The more the merrier!!

Welcome Lynn!!!

How is everyone doing with their training?? I am slacking a bit, i will admit it. Been a busy couple of weeks, and training is suffering.. however, i know i have my MFM plan copied and next to my TM for 11/30 when i need to start the 14 week countdown!! Geez.. i can't even believe this race is coming so fast!!! Can you all??

We go to WDW in 2 1/2 weeks, and i can't wait.. i just need some warm weather - i hate the impending cold that we are going to get - i miss my 70's/80's!! LOL

My SIL is training w/ me for a the Jan 1/2 marathon at WDW. In conversation, the Princess Half came up and now she wants to do it and we are thinking of making it a girl's weekend.

I went online to get rack rates for the dates/package and then called the Disney Sports Number (....IRUN) to get the price.

Get this:

4 nights, 4 day hoppers, no dining, standard room (2 people)

Rack Rate for Movies: $1162.84
Disney Sports Quote: $873.60

20% Savings!!!

Rack Rate for CBR: $1475.28
Disney Sports Quote: $1078.40!!!

Almost 27% Savings!!!

Doesn't that seem too good to be true. What am I missing here. Did I hear her wrong? Did she tell me wrong?

I asked her if it was a room savings or ticket??? She said it was a savings on both.

The Movies Price I might get, but the CBR discount just seems to deep for what Disney would offer.

Do you all have anything to compare to my numbers???

Thanks!
Stacie

Wow! Those prices are not that bad Stacie. We have not booked our hotel yet. Still deciding on if we want to use our DVC points or not. I am trying to convince DH that we need to stay at the Poly! :thumbsup2 We'll see!!

Good luck with the training ladies! :cheer2: I *had* the Richmond Half Marathon coming up next weekend but cracked a bone in my foot mountain biking. Doc says NO WAY!!! Harrumph!!! I was so ready too. Guess I have the Princess Half to look forward to.

Well gotta go get dinner ready. Yak at ya later! :hippie:

I have been bad. I have been asked to apply for a promotion which would mean a move to Lansing. I am currently acting in the position until they post the position. It has totally thrown me off. I have been very indecisive on it. I would love the position but I hate to move!

Stacie, those are great rates!! It would be great to do another event with you!!! Hope you decide to do it!

DisneyDuet - sending you pixie dust to help recovery with that foot, that must be painful!!

UP Disney - Whatever happens, It is meant for the best. And, you will have time to train when the dust settles. :)

I'm happy to find this thread!

I am doing the Princess 5K!!

It will be my first Disney race!! I"m very excited!

I don't know where I will be staying yet but will update you when I know!

Got a good deal!

Hey fellow princesses, I thought I'd share the deal I booked last night. The first reservation I booked through Disney Sports was for All Star Movies for four nights at a total of $488.16 ($122.04 per night). That included tax and was for a standard room, and while a break off the normal cost for that time of year ($140 per night), it is definitely a lot more than I'd ever want to pay for a value, especially since I've got my room at Pop in January for $72 per night.

I called last night when I heard about the new Disney offer, and got a preferred room 7 nights at ASMo for $794.86 ($113.55 per night)...but wait it gets better - included are two one day/one park passes (I have an AP and didn't need the park passes offer), a $200 Disney gift card, an arcade voucher, mini golf voucher, sea raycer voucher, and a Planet Hollywood $15 meal voucher.  The one day pass can be used at another time or applied towards my AP renewal:yay: :yay: This makes my princess trip much more acceptable and I forgive Disney for scheduling the half during peak season.

hey hey. Hope everyone's training's going well- i actually think my schedule starts next week.... aaah.

Anyway, random question but we booked our disney stay through Disney UK and have just seen the new disney offer (buy 4 nights get three free). I wondered if anyone knows if you can apply a code after booking? Thanks guys :goodvibes

Kate: you can always try, I have done it before.

Also, anyone doing this race solo?? Anybody out there looking to split costs??

I maybe (not sure yet) coming by myself to the Princess.

Tracy

Okay, so I booked through Disney sports and now I too have gotten the stay 4 get 3 free offer. Now, if I cancel my trip through Disney sports and rebook with the offer, as long as it is Carribean Beach, I can still get race morning transportation, right? Getting a taxi before race for the taste was a nightmare! Besides, Mom and I want that $200 gift card for our favorite restraurants!

I was booked 3 nights at All star at about $125 a night. Now I've got 7 nights at Coranado at the 4/3 deal, $200 card, 7 day park pass. The plan would be DH and I drive down 3/1 and celebrate our 25 year ann. He would fly home and DD will fly down to spend last few days and we would do the Princ. 1/2. Now...has anyone bought park tickets at the discount rate and how much are they? Because DD will need park tickets. This has all gotten crazy and I still needto registar for the race.
