calling all poly experts

We are headed down to stay at the Poly with a Lagoon room the last week in March. I was reading something recently about mold in the rooms. Is this a common problem all over the resort or just the Lagoon rooms? Are certain buildings worse than others? We were hoping for the Tahiti building.
Does it feel far from the Tahiti building to the pool and GCH?

The issue of some rooms being moldy/having a strong odor has been discussed on several threads on the boards, a recent one:

Seems some people have had problems whereas others have not. Check out their responses and how they handled the issue.

I for one am not going to worry about it...if the room we are assigned has such a smell, I will ask to be moved (presuming there is another room available). Don't let it worry you......have a great time and post a trip report for us!

I am probably the pickiest person who has ever entered a hotel room, but I was very happy with the Polys room conditions. My family could tell you stories about me changing rooms due to lesser problems than mold! I am laughed at every holiday because I am so firm about getting the best room I can get when we travel which occasionally means changing rooms. They of course would sleep in a tent in the parking lot! What I mean by the best is cleanliness and location. I was very worried before we went to the Poly due to negative reports on this board. I did have other issues while there due to a bad week in the concierge but I CANNOT say anything negative about cleanliness. It was beautiful.
