Small vent this morning...I hate trying to call in my unemployment claim. Takes around 3 hours to get through. Should have done it when I got home at 2 a.m...

Watching The Prestige right now. Good movie, but I watch it just to see David Bowie

Anyway -

Is everyone still in a candy coma?...

Well, let's see how today is going. First, my dog barked for an hour until I gave up and got up at 8:45. She'd gotten herself so worked up that she had to go outside immediately, then when she came in, she puked behind the TV. Then my mother called...our furnace went out at some point yesterday, so we have no heat, and she wanted me to look up the heating repair company. Then she called 5 minutes later to tell me to see if the batteries in the thermostats work and to go downstairs and check the circuit breaker. Now, I don't have time for that because I have a doctor's appointment this morning and I'm trying to get dressed and keep the dog from getting sick again! AAAHHHH!!!

Then this afternoon, I get to go to the CT Works office to try to fill out paperwork for the WIA program so I can go back to school. I say "try to" because the person I spoke to the first time I went kind of flipped out on me and said, "Oh, no, the state wants you to work, not go to school!"

Wish me luck...

Liz - sounds like quite a morning so far! Hope it starts to go a bit more smoothly for you.

Not in a candy coma yet - but I am pretty hungry and thinking the peanut butter cups might be just the thing. They contain protein afterall - right??

One appointment down, one more to go. I'm staying positive about going to the job office this afternoon! Somehow, I will get my butt back to school! I have a Plan B in the event that I get any grief from anyone.
