Happy Sunday, Nutters! Busy day yesterday - I went to Old Sturbridge Village with Number One and his sister. His bank (where he works, I mean) was doing something where he and up to 5 people could get in for free. Pretty good deal; an adult ticket is $20. We spent about 4 hours there! As much as I hate photos of myself, I finally have one of us (please excuse the lack of makeup and the fat)...

Then we had dinner at the Piccadilly Pub, where I proceeded to suck down 2 raspberry iced teas in about 5 minutes. Must remember to bring plenty of water next time I plan to walk around outside for 4 hours! I must have been dehydrated! Then it was back home, to drop Deb off at the parents' house (they were babysitting her dog), and we ended up spending about 2 hours there, just all talking. I feel like I really fit in with this family! Finally we made it home in time to watch Harper's Island, which we've both gotten into, but it was really hard to stay awake at that point. I finally took myself home around midnight, and I'm pretty worn out today!

OMG!!!!

Liz! I was at OSV on Saturday from opening until closing!!!
We had lunch at the Oliver Wight center--wanted to go to Piccadilly but the ladies I was with wanted to do Village.

I don't recall seeing you.

I was the fat lady with a greying bun waddling around with 3 other older ladies, none of us taller than 5'4"
I was dressed all in beige: cotton pants, long slubbed silk tunic toting an OSV black/white back pack. No pics of me coz I was taking the pics.

Speaking of dehydration, we brought along water bottles, but there are spots throughout the Village to get drinks, old fashioned candies & pastry.

We were at OSV for the museum doing 'research'.
This may, or may not have, included alcoholic libations. Of course, such libations would have been in the form of 'historic' beverages such as flips & syllabubs. One must have as complete an experience as possible, ya know!

So sorry I missed ya!

It's okay, but next time, I'll post BEFORE I go! I think we'll be going back; Deb said she really wanted to go again, and since my friend Danielle's parents work there, she'll get free tickets for us. They weren't there on Saturday, though, they're on vacation. Anyone want to take a wild guess where they are?

Anyway...on a serious note, Jason is very tired due to his job. It's been pretty stressful, and he's not enjoying it much. I know he wants to find something new, but with the economy around here, he's better off sticking with it at the moment. He knows it, too, but it still doesn't make him happy. He vents a lot about it...all I can do is be there and listen...
