If it weren't for seeing some lovely people it would be a total drain. Thank goodness for the peeps!

I worked all night last night. For those of you who do not know me, I am a babynurse. Bet you never could have guessed, eh?

The fact is when I work all night, I get extremely loopy. And while this usually proves to be entertaining, it probably means I should back away from the computer. heh heh heh

Bonjour!

We're moving to Virginia Beach. My husband is active duty navy and getting ready to do his first tour on a ship (he's been in for 16 years so I'm sure there will be lots of ribbing by the other sailors about him being a newbie). But, first he has to do 4 months of school down in Florida so I will be home alone with our three boys going nuts during that time.

The weather is suppose to be beautiful here this weekend. I'm sure we'll get out and do something.

Oh - and I like loopy. I'm that way normally, but I have no real excuse.

I'm trying not to get too discouraged on the half-hearted job search. I truly am applying; I just hope the state doesn't look at my log sheet and wonder why I did most of the applying this week! The weird thing is, when my mother and her friend did this program 3 years ago, they didn't have to go through all this. You'd think with the high unemployment in this state, they'd make it easier to get retrained, not more difficult

It's supposed to be a nice weekend, so Jason and I plan to spend some time outside.

I grew up in Maine and lived in a strong French Canadian speaking town. Started taking French in 5th grade and continued through 11th grade. Can I speak it at all?? Nope. I can understand quite a bit if I see it written, but most French people speak too quickly for me to grasp.

Did I mention that my mother and I have decided to have a tag sale? The weekend after Memorial Day...she's got the week off, so we can work on getting set up while she's home. OMG, we have SO much stuff! This is crazy! I'm trying to be ruthless and if in doubt, I'm getting rid of it. However, I'm still left with tons of things! Ugh...

It's kind of depressing, having so much junk. It will be good to get rid of all of it...at least, I hope we get rid of all of it.

I hate moving. What a pain in the astarstar. I think it's supposed to be "beautiful" here, too. At least by most people's definitions. I do not care for hot weather. Today it was about 80 and I cut my kids recess about 10 minutes short. I never complain when it's hot out though.

Words of wisdom from my kids today....
Two kids are asking me incessant questions and annoying me nearly to the point of raising my voice. Which I really don't do around them. The one kid goes "we have to stop, read her eyes!!!" To which I said... "read my eyes?" He said "yeah, I read your eyes all the time. Sometimes they say you're feeling peaceful, sometimes they say you're annoyed, and sometimes they say we better watch out and get the hell away!!" His words, not mine. From the mouths of thugs...

Here's what I did today...

This was the fourth time I've seen it, and I think it was the best one yet. I cried several times, as usual. Went with my mother...Jason's hockey team is in the playoffs, so he couldn't go.

He and I went to Forest Park and walked around yesterday. I didn't know we hit a temperature record of 91, so I was overdressed in jeans and a long-sleeved (albeit thin) t-shirt. Wore the wrong shoes, too, since I didn't know we were going until after we were on the way. Chewed my feet right up. But it was nice just spending the afternoon with Number One.
