I also had trouble keeping to the 100 word limit! I tried to sound cheerful, yet knowledgeable, all while using correct grammar and spelling! Which isn't always easy for me!
When I told my dh and ds about entering the contest, my ds started making plans for the trip. He thinks I automatically win because I'm a disney nut. I told him I have lots of competition here on the Disboard.
Can't wait to hear if any of us do win!

Well I have just joined the DISboards.com site and what a COOL place to chat with people just like me!!! DISNEY LOVERS I also sent in my application and received an email. I applied because I have 2 daughters in wheelchairs and figured I could offer alot to people seeking advice about traveling either disabled or with someone that has a disability.

I applied when it was still 5000 applications being accepted. Maybe when they boosted it to 10,000, they doubled the winners too!
I will already be there during that time so maybe they will announce the winners in front of the castle (like they do on the Food Network Challanges Shows) and I may be able to see some of the winners!
I wrote about my love for Disney, my training at Disney College and years as a Disney specialist when I used to be a travel agent. Maybe it will catch an eye! GOOD LUCK TO ALL! Hope to see some Dis'ers winning when I'm there!!!!

Well I just got an e-mail from Disney mom's panel saying thank you for filling out the application but I was not one of the finalists. They did say that they might be contacting the other applicants for future projects. Good luck to all you MOM's and DAD's out there. Keep us updated if you have received and e-mail!!!

Got my email, too. Here's what it said: "On behalf of all of us at Walt Disney World Resort®, thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to apply for the first-ever Walt Disney World Moms Panel.

We realize it's no easy task just keeping a family moving every day, so we appreciate all the effort you put into your application. We were absolutely overwhelmed by the response we saw and very humbled by the heartwarming stories we read in each of the applications.

With 10,000 moms (and dads!) applying, we had a difficult time narrowing the field to the next round. We personally read every application submitted. While you were not among those selected, we are very grateful that you took the time to enter and share your love for Walt Disney World Resort®.

Because of the incredible passion you and so many others have shown for Walt Disney World Resort®, we've been inspired to explore more concepts for programs -- beyond the Moms Panel -- to engage moms and dads like you who want to share their passion for the Parks. Hi. First post. I applied and got the same form letter that I'm assuming was sent to all non-winners. I'm curious to see if they are actually going to use the other applicants for future projects or just softening the blow for us.

We truly appreciate you taking the time out of your busy schedule to apply to be on the Walt Disney World® Moms Panel. It was heartwarming to learn how much you do for your loved ones and the role Disney plays in your life!

In order to move forward, we ask that you answer three additional questions. Simply click on the link below where you will be directed to the questions. In order to be considered for the next phase of selection, questions must be submitted by 12:00 AM, Eastern Daylight Time on October 24, 2007. Congratulations! I can't even imagine how excited you must feel! It's a good thing they didn't pick me, because I would be bouncing off the walls and would be unable to work or care for my family! Maybe I should feel relieved after all.
