Did you get your application in for the Walt Disney World Mom's Panel?

The original announcement on Sept 6th stated they would be taking 5,000 applications, with a deadline of October 5th. Then they raised the limit to 10,000 applications. As of Sept 14th they have reached their maximum capacity! Wow - that was quick!

So here's my question....Did you get your application submitted in time, and if so, what did you say?

Wow! That was quick! Did my application last week. Got a confirmation from Disney so I guess I made the cut off.
The biggest challenge was keeping the answers to the questions to the word count limit!
Now starts the wait!

I submitted my application on the 14th and got an immediate submission confirmation, but have yet to receive an e-mail confirmation.

I entered mine too. I did it on the 7th I think. I can't believe they had 10,000 people enter it! Makes the chances even slimmer! I think it's a great idea. I also had a hard time keeping my answers within the word limit. I could go on for pages about Disney!

I applied on the 9th. It was very hard to constrain the replies to 100 words! I had to write and rewrite...

I tried to convey my Disney trip planning obsessiveness in a humorous way without being over-the-top. I made sure to check all spelling, grammar and punctuation.

I haven't heard anything since the email confirmation. I don't really have my hopes up but it sure would be a wonderful surprise to make the cut!

As part of "The Year of a Million Dreams," Disney is conducting a nationwide search for moms who have mastered the art of planning a Walt Disney World vacation. Twelve finalists will be selected to serve on the first-ever online Walt Disney World Moms Panel. Those 12 parents who have a passion for the Walt Disney World vacation experience will have the opportunity to share their vast knowledge of the resort and personal secrets of success with other families who are considering this magical vacation experience. In exchange, the 12 panelists will receive a 6-day/5-night vacation to the Florida resort for themselves and three other guests.

Darn it!! I didn't know there was a submission cut off!! ( I guess I didn't read it carefully, I was too excited!) I was trying to narrow down my submission answers- oh well! Good luck to all of you who entered your submissions! Everyone on the DIS boards is so nice, you would all be great on the panel!!

I applied I got the informatin on the website it went through but i never got a confirmation by email...were we suppose to ...oh no!!!

I wonder when people will start hearing. I'll bet there will be some kind of semi-final questionnaire. I'm afraid my app was really over the top- but I'm thinking, Hey, you only get one chance at this!

I'm also waitting, I don't remember the date I filled out the survey/ form, but it was a day or so after receiving the email. I thought it funny that they are looking for Moms but it was sent to my Dh and addressed to him. When I filled out the form though I used my name. I also received a confirmation email but not an acceptance message.

I also entered, and got a submission confirmation, but never got an email confirmation. I hope that I made it in time, or that it was legitimate. I have a feeling that I barely missed it I think I applied late on the 14th....
