Calling all LOTW (monorail drink a thon related)

sprite-Close call for your little DD!

Ahhhh and Minnie-Well, I will definitely check out that wine. I wonder if they will let you bring ANY wine in. Like, let's say I brought in a bottle of Kendall Jackson Chardonnay...it sells for like, $12.99 at Publix. Would they let me have it and only charge $10 for a corkage fee? Cuz at $23, that would still be a bargain compared to the high prices of wine at restaurants.

I hope you understand, I am not actually considering doing this (I am not a TOTAL hick, ya know) but just wondering. I am picturing myself walking in with a bottle of Boone's Farm "Strawberry Hill" and the look on the maitre D's face :teeth:

ooo...I just noticed your edit! If you can find it at Publix I will definitely try it!

I dont think they'll judge you for what wine you bring :p...The M&C run between $12 and $25 at publix and I plan on bringing as many as necessary :3dglasses

I'd rather pay the price of the wine and the corkage fee than for a bottle thats most likely overpriced to begin with (hehehe)...First time we went to Cali Grill we had this terrific wine by the name of 'Cain' (cant remember the rest of the details) and the price was pretty reasonable, last time we were there (not sure if its the same bottle) the price was up to $160...Im still wanting to try it again but the price makes me a bit reluctant, especially with access to this delicious spanish wine.

Im sure someone on here has more info about the cork fee.

Yes, but if I bring the bottle of Boone's Farm...how much is the "unscrewing fee?" :rotfl:

Heeheee...I crack myself up! :rotfl2:

Also, this lush likes to get a meal "to go" and take it back to the room!! When we stayed at the Polynesian I ordered from Kona, those wings, yum! I bought a bottle of wine from the shop, and they uncorked it for free! Took it back to the room, and put our feet up!! It was a nice relaxing meal before a late EMH!

You are so bad! ;) :rotfl: I must have spent about 60.00 for about 4 days of alcohol, and I brought my "little airline bottles" with me and bought a bottle of Coca Cola at Publix on the way there. Tomato juice is VERY expensive at the Hotel, so will bring that next time too.
