Next year we will be celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary and would like to stay at the Grand Floridian in the main building's concierge. We're planning to go around October/November 2004.

I have a few questions:

1) How early should we book it for that time of year. We are flexible with the exact dates.

2) When do discount codes come out for next fall and are they accepted for concierge floor?

3) Any tips for going with an eight month old infant?

4) Does the GF provide actual cribs or are they pack n plays?

5) Has anyone ever taken the limo service from airport to GF? Can I install a carseat in the limo?

Any other tips or suggestions greatly appreciated.

I cant answer your concierge questions but I traveled there last summer with our baby. Yes you can install your carseat in the limo - at least we did.

well usually if they offer discounts on concierge, it is just for sugarloaf.

We stayed at GF-Sugarloaf with a just turned 1 year old this January. The concierge was great about filling his bottle with milk at any time. I saw other moms down there to get their baby food warmed up, etc.Sugarloaf is a little more casual than main building. We chose it because with an infant we all went to bed around 8:00 and wouldn't have been able to take advantage of the mid-evening deserts and cordial.
GF has metal cribs!!. But you must ask for them specifically or you will get a pack and play. I liked the metal crib because it was high off the floor (drafts). It comes with sheets and baby bumpers. It will make your room feel more crowded but well worth it.

I'd book by January or February for October/November.

You'll see the first set of discount codes at the end of July to the end of August. Package specials may come out around June. However, the main building is rarely discounted.

3) Any tips for going with an eight month old infant?
Make sure to take mid-day breaks from the parks.

4) Does the GF provide actual cribs or are they pack n plays?
As meantioned, housekeeping can get you either.

5) Has anyone ever taken the limo service from airport to GF? Can I install a carseat in the limo?
I personally like Jimmy with yourride.net - he is great and his limo is beautiful. You'd be able to install a car seat in it.

The metal cribs are great - DS (20 mos) was a little restless in there because he is a rover, but it was far and away better than the pack and plays. The crib fit perfectly along the wall between the minibar and the room entrance doorway where the luggage stand is usually set up.
