Jim got James' posters up yesterday, now we have to write his campaign speech. Sarah heads back up to UA today. Emily doesn't have a game today, but they are practicing after school.

I am watching the hummingbirds out the sliding glass door. I just love them!!

I love hummingbirds too, but I rarely see them.
I have woodpeckers here - and they love to peck on my house
(and their pecking is really really loud!!!!)

Our neighbor has a woodpecker that pecks on her chimney - the metal part! You can here it all over the neighborhood! It took a long time for the hummingbirds to come this year. My mom has about 18 that frequent her feeders!

I'm thinking about hiring another employee at the store. A girl brought in an application yesterday that is going to be going to college (she's 19) for photography, but she's not doing that until next fall (she's saving her money). She knows some of the buzz words for working at the store, and has a pinch of experience of doing some things. She can read a tape measure, and is good with people I really could use another set of trained hands for when the holidays approach - so I think I'm going to take the plunge and hire her


Well, I gotta run - I got to get to work a little early today - I have a lot to do.

I am up and busy on the computer this morning! As James' campaign manager, I wrote his speech. He is currently writing all over it making changes! I also typed up my first letter to the class. I am room mom for James' class this year. I am really suprised that the PTA hasn't sent me any info so far - no dates for duty free lunch, teacher's bday, etc... Makes it kinda hard to plan the year!

We had a nice evening yesterday. No practice and Jim didn't work OT. We went to our favorite Mexican restaurant and just relaxed!

I'm going to call her today, and talk to her again.
It makes me nervous about hiring another person (money wise), but I do need another set of hands for this Christmas, and I would like someone that could work during the day, so I could run store errands, and go see my Accountant when necessary. Plus my Chamber of Commerce meetings are normally during the afternoon (a luncheon) and I like attending those. So I have all reasons to hire her, I'm just cheap, I don't even pay myself


Yesterday was a very productive day for me at work
I got alot of framing work done, and I also got all my bills paid for both home and work. Now today I don't have to worry about anything (even though I still have a lot to do)


Well, I must get Ms. Steph up for school
Her ISTEP tests are finally done, and today she gets to take a snack, because the kids are taking it easy and watching a movie. I hope that means that she'll have minimal homework for the weekend (fingers crossed).

Today we are going to Sears to get the girls yearly picture taken. We never wait this long to do this, but we just haven't had time. Then afterwards, I want to go to Olive Garden for a late lunch/early supper for the never ending pasta bowl - I love that!!!!


Well, I gotta run and get Stephanie up and throw her in the shower. Her hair always looks better right after it's washed, than after she's slept on it. Her hair is going to be a challenge today, because she's growing out her bangs, and I have to try to get those bangs under a large headband so they don't poke out and look goofy. I really wish she didn't want to grow them out, but I have to let her be her own person

Hello! I have officially finshed my work for today. I have been on call, but it's still been a good weekend.

I love going to the mall - did I ever tell you guys that!!!!
I wish I had more time to shop yesterday, because it's been a long time since we've gone to the mall. Stephanie's a shopper too, which has always been so nice


The girls pictures went great - they looked beautiful!!!
Then we went to Olive Garden, and I ate, and ate, and ate some more (I really paid for it later with some indigestion, but it was worth it). For the never ending pasta bowl, they had a new sauce which was smoked mozzerella alfredo - and it was heavenly!!!!



This is premier week on all the stations
All my shows are finally new, which is great, because I"m tired of watching reruns


Karen - I"m glad you still had a good weekend, even though you were on call. Do they pay you mileage?

Good Morning! I am just getting back from carpool. There wasn't much going on at work today so I asked if I could take a mental health day! I plan on relaxing & running a few errands!

sandy - sound like you had a great weekend! I actually drive a company car when I work. On the weekends I just stop by the office & swap to their car.

Good morning! I got a bunch done yesterday. Dry cleaner, laundry, 2 banks, blockbuster, sporting goods store, James' haircut (he no longer looks like a Chia Pet), practice... It felt good to get everything done! I am back to work today!
I have got to get serious about planning my trip! Jim has actually agreed to matching shirts! We will only do it one day. Probably the day we go to Epcot since we can do the free picture thing with Disney Visa. I am trying to decide between polo style & tshirts. We went ahead and bought Sarah's plane ticket last week. She was supposed to pay for it herself, but she hadn't & I was worried she would wait until the last minute & it would cost and arm & a leg!

Well, I am off - James has to finish reading his book and we are trying to do it this morning so he can work on the report this afternoon! Have a great day!

OK - so who was up bright & early today?

We had a good evening yesterday. We kept James home from practice - he had a book report to finish & 2 tests to study for. He accomplished it all!

Emily had her first SWAT performance last night (they did it for parents). She did a really great job! SWAT is students working against tobacco. They go to elementary schools & talk to 4th graders about not smoking/dipping. Only 4 of our high schools have SWAT teams & Phillips is the only middle school. Pretty cool stuff!

After work tonight we are all going out for a pre-synagis season dinner. The season starts Monday! So we will be busy, busy, busy!
