Hi Sandy!!

Wow..we do seem to have some things in common!! That's great about your new career!! I'm sure you'll have a great time at it!! It fits so well into our type of schedules.
I'm hoping I'll like it.
Everyone keeps telling me that I should do really well at it - I hope they are right :)

Stephanie is a real doll!!! I'm sure that Katie is also!!
Thanks!!! :goodvibes
I'm going to post some pictures of Katie from her recent party for all of you to see.

I love having my boys but really missed out on girl's clothes shopping!!! Somehow..I never pictured myself having even 1 boy..it was always about having daughters..take them to dance class, figure skating, Brownies, etc..just like Mom!!! Not complaining, but would have loved that whole experience!! Are your girls involved in any of these sorts of things?
Having girls is a lot of fun!!!! :Pinkbounc
Stephanie is involved in these type of activities. She has been in gymnastics since she was 2 and she has been doing dance off and on during these years. Today she is starting a new dance class and is taking a break from gymnastics for awhile.
Katie is not involved in these activities because she dislocated her elbow when she was 18 months, and her Orthopedic Doctor said he didn't want her putting any stress on her arm until she was 8  I'm hoping he will clear her for ballet sometime soon.
We would have really liked a son, like you would have liked a daughter, but we are done having children. Maybe one of my girls will have a boy someday so I can buy "boy" stuff then. :teeth:

That is soooo sweet that you've married your high school sweetheart!!! You don't hear that all too often, at least not ones that actually endure as yours has!! You are a very lucky woman!!! :cloud9:
Thanks!!! :goodvibes
I am lucky ::yes::

I was married very young to the father of my oldest 2 boys.
How old were you?
My mom married my biological father when she was 19 and it didn't work either :sad2:

Jeff has been raising them as his own for almost 14yrs. now!!
That's awesome that Jeff loves him as his own - you are very lucky too!!! :teeth:

My ex and I are still the best of friends, great for the boys..well for everybody actually!! The 5 of us went to the Mayan Riviera last year with him and his wife!!! We all had a great time!!
This is definitly something you never hear. Talking about lucky!!!!! :) You all staying close is so good for your boys - that's just great!!!!! :thumbsup2

Oh...Brett will begin Grade 5 French immersion after Labor Day! He has been in the full immersion program since kindergarten and is now quite fluent in French!! I, on the other hand, hardly understand a single thing he says!!!
That's amazing that he's almost completely bilingual (sp?) - good for him!!!! :cheer2:

Jesse DID graduate Grade 12 in June BUT for some odd reason, is returning in Sept. to take an advanced Physics or Biology course. He wants to be a Paramedic and since it is a very hard course to get into, he wants to wait for the January class to begin. Would help if he'd APPLIED for it!!!!! :teeth:
Good for him for doing some more studying before applys for the Paramedic course. He sounds like a very focused young man :)

Last, but not least, Tyler is our talented :artist: He is in a very intense 3D computer animation course!!
Wow...that's sounds awesome!!! He sounds very gifted!!! :teeth:

Wow, I've written a novel!!! Sorry
No reason to be sorry, that's how we get to know each other!!! :)

Well, I guess I should get going and get ready for work.
Have a good day

Good Tuesday morning everyone!!!

Good Wednesday morning everyone!!! :surfweb:

I had such a great morning and early afternoon yesterday shopping by myself. It's so nice to browse around a store w/o hearing, "I have to go potty right now!!!!" "When are we going to go" "I'm hungry" and etc.

I bought myself some new Nike walking shoes for vacation, of which I'm going to wear around the house today, to break them in :teeth: The last couple of years I wore my Sketchers at the parks, and my feet were always sore at the end of the day. I'm hoping these will be more comfortable.

I also bought a lot of toilettrie (sp?) type travel items for us at Target. I have a box that I put out a month before vacation so when we think of something to take, we immediately put it into the box. The box is starting to get full :thumbsup2

Today I am studying all day since I didn't study yesterday. I rented Katie a bunch of movies to keep her occupied while I study. I feel bad putting her in front of the tv most of the morning and afternoon, but it's not something I do often at all :sad2: I just have to get this test over with and then life will get back to normal :thumbsup2

Well I gotta run - have a good day everyone!!!

Hello everybody!!! :wave2:

Just stopping by....Sandy, good luck on your test!!! They are pretty intense, aren't they? Don't feel too badly about the kids and the movie scenario...we've ALL done that on occasion, I'm sure!!! Well, I know that I have anyways!!

Jesse broke his collarbone BADLY the other night!! He and Tyler thought it would be a fun time to wrestle/body slam each other around!!! Yippppeee....what fun!!!! :confused3 I think they've learnt a very valuable lesson...we're not just spouting off at them whenever we say things about "not doing such and such because one day somebody will end up hurt", etc, etc.. Tyler feels HORRIBLE though :guilty:

Anyhoo...I'll stop by again in a few more days!!!

Take care
Lisa :teeth:

Thanks for the good luck!!! :goodvibes
I need as much as I can get
Katie was very happy watching her movies yesterday. Since I don't let her veg out in front of the TV very often, if was a real treat for her :)

Jesse broke his collarbone BADLY the other night!!
Ouch!!!!
I broke my collarbone when I was 5.
Sending lots of PD to him to heal quick :wizard: :wizard:

Unfortunately some lessons are learned the hard way - by personal experience :thumbsup2 . They'll never play this again :sad2: Kids just don't understand that we've been there, done that, and now know better. I guess they sometimes have to learn the same way we did. I'm glad he wasn't hurt any worse than a broken collar bone.

Tyler feels HORRIBLE though :guilty:
Poor guy!!!
Hugs to him

Anyhoo...I'll stop by again in a few more days!!!
Sounds good - I'll be here!!! :teeth:

Good Thursday morning everyone!!! :surfweb:

Kathy - are you going to be affected by Ernesto? Please check in and let us know when you get a chance (I know you've been working alot).

Have a good day everyone!!!

Sorry about not being around! It has been crazy - I am almost through with certification of the cheerleaders at the park! My niece Haley has been a huge help! She is my assistant coach this year! Her mom has been helping with the paperwork, too.

LBelle - so sorry about your DS's collarbone! Ouch!!

slo - when is your test? I should probably know that, but it has been a loooooong day!

That's okay!!! I figured you've been super busy. ::yes::
That's great that Haley is helping you out :thumbsup2
How long does cheerleading last?
How is your DD doing at college? Have you heard from her much?

slo - when is your test? I should probably know that, but it has been a loooooong day
My test is on Tuesday, Sept. 12th and I'm getting nervous. I feel like the more I study the less I know. Kevin thinks I'm over studying - I didn't know that was possible :confused3

TGIF!!!!

Today I'm taking Katie to get her 3 year picture taken. I hope she smiles nice - she can sometimes be very challenging at picture taking time

Have a good day today everyone!!

slo - You are going to do so well on your test! Are you so excited about your trip???? That's a good idea about the box! Don't forget your ponchos! and bug spray!

Sarah is doing well. We talk everyday. THey have their first football game on Saturday & she is SO excited! SHe hasn;t decided if she is going with the girls or with a fraternity boy. The boys have to have a date. She has a boyfriend, but I think the escort thing is just part of it. SHe says her classes are huge - 300 in her chemistry class!

Have a super weekend!!

Hey everyone!!!!! :wave2:

We successfully got Katie's pictures done yesterday and they turned out beautiful. She's getting so big!!!!

Today we did Stephanie's pictures, and she always takes such nice pictures. She is such a ham, and loves, and I mean loves, posing for the camera :teeth:

I have so many pictures coming to me because I just can't pass any of the poses up. They are all to cute!!!!! :goodvibes

Idroveallnight - I'm glad you and Sarah have been talking alot and that she is enjoying school. I bet she will have alot of fun at that football game :cheer2: Tell her your DIS friend said "Hi" :wave2:

Well, I gotta run - have a good night

Good Sunday morning everyone!!! :sunny:

Nothing exciting happening here today :sad2:

I'm going to study, do laundry, and start packing :thumbsup2

Have a good day!!!!

We just got a phone call this morning from Kevin's Dad telling us that Kevin's grandma finally passed away last night :guilty: . Her death was a good thing ::yes:: She was 87, she couldn't eat, she couldn't drink, she couldn't talk, she didn't know who we were - it was time for her to go to heaven where she could be herself again. I hope her and my Grandma can meet up somewhere where they can keep an eye on us together :)

It's sad to think we are going to live in a world without our Grandma's, but her and my Grandma gave us so many wonderful memories - I thank God everyday for those memories!!!!

I'm so sorry! :grouphug:

I was just getting on to say hello and Happy Monday. Hadn't planned to read back but I did happen to see your post. You sound like me...I can just picture my mom and dad up in Heaven watching down on us together. I'm sure your Grandma and Kevin's Grandma will be able to meet up there as well!!!
