I spent the last 2 days sitting in a gym and jumping around and I have no voice left but it was worth it ..

That's very exciting news!! Please tell him I said congrats - that's a great accomplishment. Isn't it great, as a parent, to watch your child succeed!!! I'm really happy for him.

Stephanie accomplished something today too. It's nothing nearly as exciting, but to her it's a crowning moment. She learned how to tie her shoes this morning. It took us an hour, but she did it. She was so proud of herself. The real test will be if she can do it tomorrow.

Everybody is MIA except for us. Do you know what happened to Roemamma? I haven't seen her post anywhere for a long time .

Today was Kate's first day back at daycare after being gone for a week. Her teacher said that all the 1 year olds were really sick last week. All 10 kids in Kates room didn't go in on Thursday and Friday. So the teachers have been disinfecting the room from top to bottom. I'm just glad the Kate made it through the day w/o any problems. We are done with the nebulizer now and I am able to go to bed at a reasonable time (10pm)

Is Derick done wrestling for the season? I bet he is still walking on air too

Here I am ...We are wrestling at Regionals this weekend . I spent all day except for one 2 hour break in the bleachers . I'm way toooo old for that really I am .

My son won his 1st 3 and then lost so now he can only win 3 or lower. He needs to be 4th or higher to go to State .

Hi!!!! I'm so glad to hear from you. I was thinking of you at work today wondering how you are doing - and here you are. .

You will have to keep me posted on how your son is doing with his wrestling. I will pray really hard - I hope he gets to go to State!! That's such a fantastic accomplishment. Even if he doesn't get to go to State, he's done really well. But I know that won't mean much to him because he would be disappointed if he is unable to go. So.....I will send him prayers and pixie dust!!

The shoe typing princess is doing really well - thank you for asking. Now that she has gotten the hang of tying shoes, she enjoys helping get the baby ready by putting her hat on everyday. Sometimes she ties the strings a little to tight and Katie crys, but she's trying really hard to do well.

How's everything with your DH on the FD? Things have been pretty uneventful in our town, and the calls have been pretty boring. You know how these guys love a good fire!!!

It's been a while. My girls have been at cheerleading competitions two weekends in a row. All of their teams placed first and today my oldest dd's team was grand champion. Very exciting, very busy. On Tuesday we leave for Minneapolis for a week for a four day competition. My oldest is competing in 6 different competitons 3 team and 3 individual. let's hope she does as well there as she has done over the last two weeks. My ds is skiing with the boy scouts this weekend with my dh. We just booked our first disney cruise. Next year in April. I can't wait. I just hope my dh can get that week off. He's not at the top of the vacation list for picks, but they usually are really good about planned trips. That's it with me, how about you guys.

Hi polly p it's good to hear from you!! I see you have been quite the busy person. Tell your DD congratulation on her winning grand champion , that's a great accomplishment.

How fun to hear you guys are going on a Disney Cruise . We are planning on going when DD#2 is 4 (she is 18 months now) so we have a long time to wait. But that is okay - it gives me something to look forward to . Are your kids excited about the cruise? Do they know yet?

Not to much going on here. With it being winter time we have been stuck in the house. I am just looking forward to spring!!!

I love my ! DH works for a city department. He's gone more than he's home, working all the OT so that I can stay home with the kids. I hate the schedule, but that's life. At least he can retire at an earlier age and then we can have OUR time.

Well Slo we just got home today from State it was a raw deal I tell ya LOL

No we were just so proud to be there !

My son didnt win but he has next year ......He is not looking at it like that but we are . I mean gimme a break the State of Texas is huge and thera are only 3 from each weight class, from each reason threre. Just being 3rd in Region 2 should have been enough for him . We have the toughest region in the state . But of course when the newspapers are all talking about you it makes more pressure then he really needed at 16 . But oh well we have a 3 week break from Wrestling till Freestyle Wrestling starts .

My DH is a volunteer fireman in our town and he is gone alot also. He works his career job all week during the day and then the night belongs to his pager. When it goes off, he goes running!!! I am very proud of him - it takes a certain type of individual to be a fireman and I am glad that I am married to one of them

I'm sorry your son didn't win State this year - I'm sure he is reallly disappointed - teenagers can be very hard on themselves sometimes. Tell him your Dis friend said congratulations on the accomplishments he did achieve this year and he should be very proud of himself.

What else has been new with you?? There is not to much new here - I'm just looking forward to winter being over so we can get out of the house and get some fresh air. I can hardly wait to plant flowers and get dirt under my fingernails (I know that sound gross, but I just love planting my flower garden). This year should be fun with the new house, I will be able to arrange new flower gardens .
