We are going to have a beautiful day today :sunny:
It's going to be 86 degrees :sunny::woohoo:
I think I need to wear capris today :thumbsup2

Well, I gotta go get Stephanie up for school. She has a field trip today where she has to wear long pants and long sleeves because of the amount of Poison Ivy that's there :eek: I'm so paranoid of Poison Ivy:scared:, and I told her NOT to touch anything that's green. We had so much of this stuff around our yard when we first moved into our house, and it took a lot of time, money, and education to get rid of most of it (and we did it w/o anyone getting touched by it). So, I'm really hoping that Stephanie comes home from this trip Poison Ivy free.

Have a good day!!! :wave:

Good Morning!
sandy - I hope Steph stays poison ivy free!!

sam - how's school?

The weather here has cooled off, but that just means rain is coming. Hurricane season starts again in about 12 days! :scared1:

Schools going good.

Marcs station is undergoing a lot of drama. Several people quit, or are out on disability so that only 1 guy is left on B shift. so everyone else will have to take mandatory overtime to cover the spots. Its going to be especially hard since marc tires to commute. It just makes it messy.

also one guy, the engineer/supervisor, convinced one guy to leave lemoore(another nearby town)as an engineer to come work for them. Then the engineer screwed everyone over by writing reports up on everyone, and then went to lemoore to take the other guys spot as engineer. He planned it all from the beginning. :mad:

:surfweb:

I'm almost done with my book - WooHoo!!!!!:woohoo:
I feel a little ridiculous that it's taken me 3 weeks to read it, but I just can't do it in less time. This book has been really good, and I've totally enjoyed it!!! Now I need to watch the movie again, to see all the differences between the book and the movie.

Karen - Hurricane Season!!!:eek::scared1:
*Stephanie did come home poison ivy free:woohoo: I'm glad, because Stephanie doesn't handle pain very well, and that rash would be very painful for her.

Sam - I'm sorry to hear about all the terrible drama at Marc's station:guilty:The poor guy doesn't need this right now when he's first starting out:guilty:I hope everything gets resolved at his station, so he can go to work w/o all that drama:wizard::wizard:

Time now to make Stephanie some breakfast. She actually can do it herself, but I still like babying her a little - I probably should stop that:rolleyes:
Have a good day!!! :wave:

Hello all! I am home today because I have another dentist appointmrnt. I should probably work this afternoon, but I just feel so yuck (emotionally & physically) after I go. So I am going to come home & lay around after my appointment. of course, I will have carpool, cheer practice pick up, and the kids will need help studying for exams... so it's really half a day to lay around.

sam - Ugh!! Drama at work. Overtime is good for extra money, but it's hard on family life! Especially with the commute...

sandy - I think you should baby her for as long as you can!!

Today is a big day for Stephanie - she gets to go with her dad and grandpa to The Indianapolis Motor Speedway :car: She has been to the track before, but never when there were Indy cars on it. I can hardly wait to hear what her reaction is the first time she hears a car on the track - it's an awesome sound - one that can never be described properly. I also hope she gets to see some of her favorite drivers - she would love to get a glimpse of them in real life.

Karen - How was your dental visit?

Well, I have to go make sure Steph is ready to go
Have a great Friday everyone!!! :wave:

sandy - that sounds like fun for Steph! My dentist appointment was looong! They have a hard time getting everything numb, so I had to get there early. I thought it was all good until I got home & the numbing stuff wore off. It was a bad evening. Everything seems ok this morning, though. Thanks for asking!

So who has big plans for the weekend?

:hug: for the dentist visit. hopefully youll be all healed soon.

Im going home for the weekend to see friends. marc is running a race tomorrow so while he does that ill go visit my grandma. itll be a fun hopefully relaxing weekend.

I keep forgetting what i post here because ive been on the focker watchers thread for a while and they post like crazy! It takes all my time just to keep caught up, but they are really great over there too.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Stephanie had a great time yesterday - she now wants to be a race car driver :car: She said that Kevin explained a lot to her, so she always knew what was going on:). This was a great experience for her, because she has never had a day trip with her dad, because I am normally always with. This was a big step for me to let her go, because I was very nervous about her going into busy bathrooms alone, but she did okay, and I will not worry next time. :thumbsup2

Karen - I'm glad you were feeling better the next morning. How many more visits do you need?
*No plans for us this weekend. I'm working today, Kevin is at the race tomorrow, and I'm working on Monday. How about you guys?

CB - Have fun going home this weekend!!!!:cool1::goodvibes:yay:

Well, I must go get ready for work
Have a great day!!! :wave:

Good morning all! It is raining here and is supposed to all weekend. We need the rain. I am just looking forward to a relaxed weekend. No baseball, no cheerleading, nothing. I am on call Monday - hopefully there won't be any patients to see.

sandy - I am glad Steph had a good day with her dad. I feel you on the bathroom thing! For me it used to be about James. I always loved the companion restrooms at WDW, the mall, etc...

sam - sounds like a good weekend! How is the new dog doing?

I am done with the dental stuff for now (hopefully). I still need to finish up the cleaning, but I think I can handle that. Ok, let's be honest - I will still be freaked out, but I can do it. I know it's all in my head, but I just can't even stand to think about it!

We are counting down to the New York/D.C. trip. Emily goes to cheer camp at U of A June 3 - 6. Mom & I will pick her up on the 6th and drive to meet the bus for the trip. We will be gone until the 14th.

Oh - I may have already posted this, but just in case I didn't. Sarah mase President's List this semester!

Have a great day everyone!

Sorry I haven't checked in since Saturday.
On Sunday and Monday I was having computer issues, and couldn't get online. This was fine, because Sunday I didn't feel good, and went back to bed (woke up with a headache), and then I took the girls summer shoe shopping (I"m so glad summer shoes are so cheap), and then I spent the rest of the day outside trimming bushes and picking weeds and leaves. Monday I worked all day. So, I've been keeping busy!!!!!

Karen - A HUGE congratulations to Sarah!!!!!:cheer2::cheer2:
**That's good that you are done at the dentist for awhile:)
**Your trip sounds great!!! I've been to D.C., but never NY, and that's a place that I want to go very bad. I would love to see Times Square, the Statue of Liberty, and much much more!!!

Sorry this is so short, but I gotta run and get ready for my Leads Group at 7:30am. I really do enjoy this group - very nice people!!!! I hope I am able to generate some business through it {{fingers crossed}}

Have a good day!!! :wave:

I'm so tired this morning - so so tired!!!!

The pool is officially open, which means that summer has begun at our house :cool1: Now we just need some heat, and some sunshine, and it'll be all good :sunny: Plus, the quicker that comes, the sooner my girls will stop asking me "when can we go in the pool" :laughing:

Well, I'm off to make Stephanie her lunch - I can hardly wait until
summer break - just 3 more weeks!!!!!:woohoo::yay:
Have a good day!! :wave:

I've gotta share with how much I love my friend:goodvibes
She gave me 5 bags of clothes for my girls (her DD's old/outgrown clothes) and these bags were STUFFED with clothes. I bet there was a $1000 worth of clothes in these bags:eek:. Both of my girls were so excited with their new clothes:woohoo:, and I am so grateful to her!!!!:goodvibes She doesn't come on here, but I just wanted to share with how awesome she is - I am very blessed to have her!!!!:goodvibes

Stephanie has an early day today.
There is a special breakfast today just for student council (she is vice-president). I am so proud of her for being a part of this, because it has been a great experience for her. She has loved it, and I'm hoping that she will want to be a part of it again in middle school (this is her last year at elementary school).

Well, I must go get Stephanie going, we need to leave by 7:10am:eek:
Have a good day!!! :wave:

Yay!! School is out for the summer!!! I only have to get ME ready tomorrow!

sandy - How was Steph's student council breakfast? My kids did student council in elementary school (K - 5th for us), but didn't in middle school (6 - 8). I would have liked for them to continue, but they got interested in other stuff. How cool about the clothes!!! I have always loved hand me downs!

sam - how goes it with you?

Can I brag about my child for a second?!
Stephanie, and other students, signed up to work the school blood drive yesterday (this was after school, and she has done this before). She was the ONLY child that stayed after school to work. When one of her teachers drove her to the store, she paid Stephanie so many compliments. She told her how awesome she is, and how responsible she is, and that she's just a great person (this isn't the first teacher to tell me this. In fact, her art teacher was in the store the same day, and was telling me how great she is too). I was so proud of her, and she was beaming too!!! School comes very hard to her, she's not a straight A student, but I've told her that people aren't going to remember her for her grades, they are going to remember her by the things she's done. She's such a great people person, and I'm always working with her on how to become a better people person, because I know that whatever she does in her adult life, will center around helping people - that's just her personality. Anyway, I just wanted to share, because I'm very proud of her!!!

Karen - The breakfast was very very nice:goodvibes!! Stephanie said that they had special food - different from what they serve normally for breakfast (for kids that pay for breakfast - which is doesn't). She said they had a nice tablecloth on their table, and everything was very special/fancy for them.
**Stephanie's school only has student council for 4th grade. I asked her if she was going to do it next year, and she isn't sure. I really hope she does, and I will encourage it heavily. She says that she wants to be a cheerleader, but I know she won't make a cheerleading squad, because she has no experience. There are girls here that take start taking cheerleading classes when they are very young, and Stephanie never has. She used to be in gymnastics, but she hasn't done that for 1 1/2 years now, because her grades were falling, and I had to pay for tutoring (which was the biggest waste of money EVER!!!!). So, I know she won't make it, and I'm already preparing myself on how to handle her disappoinment next year, because she will be upset!!! I wish I would have known how the tutoring was a waste of a couple thousand $$'s, because I would have kept her in gymnastics. She would have learned her back handspring by now, and she would have that experience. Oh well, you can't turn back time, and we'll just move forward.
**That's great that your kids are out of school:yay::woohoo: I bet they are so excited!! Stephanie has until 6/12, and then she's out :woohoo:

It's time to go make Stephanie's lunch - mother hubbards cubbard is pretty bare, so I'm not sure what I'm going to give her :scratchin
Have a good day!!! :wave:

I"m so not in the mood to go to work today, but ya gotta do, what ya gotta do :)

Sophie is a happier dog today :dog:
Kevin worked really hard yesterday to make 1/2 of the backyard enclosed for her to roam. Up until now, she always had to be on a leash, and never had any freedom. She was so happy last night, when she could investigate the backyard. Kevin has a little more work to do, and when he's done, I can just let her out the backdoor:thumbsup2 I'm so happy!!!!:woohoo:

Well, it's time for me to get ready for work, and time for me to wake up the girls - they need to go to work with me this morning.
Have a good day!!! :wave:

Hi all!

sandy - I know you are so proud of Stephanie!! It is great to hear wonderful things about your kids! Do they have school cheerleading at her age? with tryouts? My girls cheered at the park level - no tryouts until 7th grade (no school sports until then). Does the gym where she took tumbling have Allstar cheerleading? At the gyms here, if your parents will pay the tuition you make a squad. They just divide them up based on skill levels. Maybe she could go back to gymanstics for a year and then tryout the next year?
That's super about the yard for Sophie! Now you don't have to stay out with her! I am sure she will enjoy the extra time outside!

Good morning all! I got up with Jim this morning and have already washed, dried & folded 3 loads of laundry :laundy:, washed and dipped all 3 dogs :dog::dog2::dogdance:, watered the fruit trees and vacuumed the living room. I still have about an hour before I have to get the kids up to get ready for Mass. What shall I do now? Enchanted is on Encore - maybe I will go watch that!

Have a great day everyone!:goodvibes

Hey everyone! Just checking in. I had to go home friday night and come back to davis last night on the train. Im going to be a bridesmaid for my friends wedding coming up, and i had to go for the dress fitting. I wanted to get back asap though because school is ending and finals are coming up. I also havent had a relaxing weekend home in several weeks, so im glad i got to sleep in today, finally:cloud9:.

Sandy- I also did our cities football/cheer league in elementary school. We had no sports until middle school, but we had city league cheerleading from 4th-6th grade and then 7th and 8th graders together. Everyone was split up by the high school districts they would go to so since we had 3 high schools we had 3 tracks. It was a really great way to make new friends and then have people you knew when you all got to middle school together, and then we all moved to our high school squad together as well.:goodvibes

I had no experience when i first tried out, and im sure my mom though i wouldnt make it, so she prepped me about dissapointment etc. Its still a great way for her to get used to what is expected and find out if she likes it.
If they dont have tryouts, then it's just as well.:thumbsup2

Hi everyone,
I just wanted to let you know that I had the baby today. He is 7lbs and 15oz. My water broke last night at midnight and he was finally born at 135pm. I will post a picture once we get home, I thought I would pass the news along. :goodvibes
