Good Morning!

sandy - I do take Zyrtec, but sometimes there is just so much pollen! The high wind and steady rain yesterday helped clear some of it out, so hopefully I'll feel better soon! That is nice of you to help your friend! I bet you will be tired tonite!

Yawn......:surfweb:

It's always so hard to get up for work, when no one else does:rolleyes:
I"m not working to much today though :)
I'm going to work until 1:00pm, and then my employee comes in until 6pm (she's doing this so I can go to church at 1:30pm). Then at 6pm I'm going back to work, and then staying until close (7pm).

Karen - I was pooped when I got home yesterday, but it's always easy to do a favor for someone, when you know they would do the same for you. My friends sister did have her baby yesterday, and the baby is a little boy:goodvibes
**How are you feeling today?

Well, I should go and get ready for work
Have a good day today!!!

We are so ready for Easter - now if we could get rid of this snow!!! :cold:

Yesterday Kevin had some time alone, so he stuffed all the plastic eggs, so we don't have to do that tonight. He also got the potatoes rinsed and wrapped in foil, so that's also done :thumbsup2 I set the dining room table yesterday (I always try to make this look stunning) so that officially done :thumbsup2 It's to bad the kids play with their Easter baskets, or I would've taken those last night and filled them - but that would have been obvious:rolleyes: Oh well, at least the other things are done, so that's awesome :teeth:

Today I have to work, but I may skip out for awhile in the afternoon to come home and do a little housecleaning - than I don't have to do it tonight:) I really love that my employee can be left alone - I really am taking advantage of it:thumbsup2

Well, I gotta go jump in the shower
Have a good day today everyone!!!

We had a good day today. Sarah came back from the beach. I made dinner and took it to Jim's mom's house. Jim's sister is in town with her girls (same ages as mine) and there is never enough time to visit. So we took dinner tonite and had some extra visiting time. Then all four girls went to the mall and James and I came home. We are going to meet Jim at 7am Mass tomorrow, I guess I will be getting up later tonite to put everything out. I did tell the kids they couldn't touch their baskets until dad is home after church! That will be the only way to get all 3 of them up & ready for church that early!

Happy Easter!!!

I hope everyone is having a beautiful day! The weather here is fantastic. We are about to head to the Yacht Club. The kids hunt eggs and later they have an adult egg hunt (miniatures). It is always a very fun day! Everyone stayed awake at sunrise service - in years past James has fallen asleep in the pew!:rotfl:

Happy belated Easter everyone!!!!

Sorry I didn't check in yesterday - I had absolutly no time:sad2:

The girls woke us up at 7am and they found their Easter baskets, and then did their Easter egg hunt:) After that, we sat on the floor and examined what was in their basket for quite some time. Then we had to get ready for church, and then go to church - which was at 11:30am. After church, we came home, and our company came over soon after. Our family/company stayed until 8pm, and then we got the house back in order, got Katie to bed, Stephanie and I watched TV, and then we went to bed. That was our day in a nutshell:)

I did have something sad happen this Easter - STephanie told me that a classmate told her that the Easter Bunny isn't real, and she said that she believes him - she then asked me if it was true. I told her that he was right, and that it was Kevin and I (this really killed me to admit too). I told her that now she can have a lot of fun pretending with us for Katie's sake. She looked really disappointed, but happy that I admitted to it. I know she's growing up, but her knowing about the Easter Bunny did make me sad:sad1:

Karen - It sounds like you had a very nice weekend :goodvibes How nice that your SIL was in town to visit with:) I had some nice visiting time with my brother yesterday too - which was nice. He lives in the same town as me, but I never see him, except holidays:rolleyes: I would love it if he had kids, because I think I would see him more, because I would want to see my niece or nephew

Well, I guess I need to get going and get ready for work.
Stephanie is off all this week, so it'll be nice not having to get her out the door to early.

Have a good day today!!!!

Sandy - I am sorry about Stephanie & the bunny! I had to give in and tell James on Saturday (he is in 5th grade!). It is sad though! We had a talk about Santa at Christmas, but James is a staunch believer!!! So, I say okie dokie! Let's keep them kids as long as we can!

Emily's bday party is Friday night! 50 thirteen year olds! I have so much to do to get ready! I talked to the other mom last night and we made our lists of what each of us is taking care of - the lists don't seem long, but it will be alot of work!

Sarah went back up to school !:sad2: We will see her next weekend because it is Parent's Weekend for her sorority.

Have a good day!

I slept in a little this morning since Stephanie has Spring Break:)

Karen - I actually was going to tell Stephanie too after this Easter, but she beat me to it. I was really hoping I would be the one to break the news to her, instead of some kid on the playground, but I guess thats life:rolleyes:
**Good luck making the final plans for the birthday celebration:wizard: I'm sure it will all go well, and the party will be sensational!!! :cool1:
**I'm sorry Sarah had to go back to school :guilty: I don't look forward to those days - it has to be hard!!

Well, I should go get ready for work, and get Stephanie up. My mom will be here at 9am to pick her up, and then I won't see Steph again until tomorrow afternoon. She's so excited to have a sleepover at my moms:banana:

Have a good day!!

Hello Ladies:wave2:

I'm just popping in to say "Hi!"

We had a good Easter. My parents, my sister and her two sons and my niece and her husband all came to my house for dinner and to play.

My son and my younger nephew jumped on my trampoline all day - ok they really "play wrestled" on it:rotfl2:

My daughters and my niece (and me when I could grab a minute) rode atvs all day. They had a blast. They only let DH and my Niece's DH ride when they needed trees moved!:rotfl:

My kids stopped believing in the Easter bunny a few years ago. Somehow between the three of them they decided that a giant bunny bringing you candy was really bizarre. They basically told me that they know it's bogus - and here's a list of the candy they want me to get them! It's actually good though because they all ALWAYS come shopping with me - Now I don't have to be so sneaky.

Santa- that's a different story all together. I think my almost 16yr old still believes - at least I think she still WANTS to believe. Santa only brings one gift for each, so he's not that big of a deal around here.

She's they same DD that will be joining the fire company next month after she turns 16. She went to their drill on St. Patrick's Day and came home with the observation that some firefighters are really weird:rotfl2: I told her that I know this...they're guys. Guys are weird!! The guys are having a time of it trying to watch their language and subject matter:scared1:

If she can stand them longer then a few months I'll be surprised! She did get her first ride IN a fire truck. She's rode ON them for parades but never in them. She was pretty excited about that!

We spent last night listening to the scanner. A local town had a bad house fire. It started in the basement...somebody was working on their dirt bike and it caught on fire:sad2: Still waiting to hear if their were any serious injuries..I went to bed.

Be back soon!!
Kim

:surfweb:

Kim - Sounds like you had a nice Easter :goodvibes Good luck to your DD with the FD:wizard: I bet she is really excited!!! In our town you have to be 18, with a highschool degree, to be allowed on the FD. I have to agree with her on guys being weird - they are weird:rotfl: But we still love them!!!! :goodvibes

Karen - How's the final party plans going?

Well, I gotta run and get ready for work. We are leaving kinda early today, because I need to go pick up items for a corporate client, and then take Katie to daycare.

Have a good day today!!!

Good Morning!

Kimba - I know most guys are weird - but I have to agree with your DD - some firefifhters are weird!! Some of the guys my DH works with :sad2: :confused3 :scared1: !

sandy - party planning is going well. I ordered their personal cakes yesterday and 5 dozen cupcakes! I have to finalize the chicken order and grab some drinks & chips. I took Friday off from work so I would have lots of time!

Well, it is official - today will be the day I go into Panic Mode!!!:scared1: I am nowhere near ready for the party tomorrow night!! I will try to get some stuff done today, but I just don't know!! (this is the part where I run screaming from the building)!!

I would be, and always am, the same way before a party. In fact, I'll probably be posting something similiar right before Stephanie's First Communion party.

I'll send lots of PD your way, for you to stay calm, and get everything done, without forgetting anything (please resend it in about a month, because I'll need it back:rotfl: )

I'm sure everything will go great, and it's especially nice that you have the other mom to plan with. Between you both, I'm sure it'll all get done, and the party will be a huge success. I can hardly wait to hear all about it!!!! :)

Well, I gotta run and get ready for work - I slept in again today, and even though it's nice, it seems harder for me to get going:rolleyes: Why is that???

Have a good day today!!

I got some more party errands run yesterday. Today will be picking up food & balloons. I need to gat my haircut today and my eyebrows waxed - for the Parent's Weekend at UA. We will leave early Saturday and I will have to go to several parties/evenst. This is just going to be a busy weekend!

sandy - I always have a harder time getting going if I stay in bed later than usual!

Karen - Good luck with your very busy weekend :wizard: I can hardly wait to here about the birthday party - I'm sure it will be fantastic!!!! Is it Emily actual birthday today? If so......

Happy
Birthday
Emily!!!!!

Well, I gotta run - have a good day!!!

Karen - Good luck with the party!!pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

I went out yesterday to start getting decorations and supplies for DD 16th Bday party next Saturday night. I spent too much money but she'll only turn 16 once!! I still can't believe that my first born will be 16 :scared1: :headache:

Tomorrow night is the annual firehouse dinner. We couldn't make it last year (sister-in-law got married) so this will be our first year. I've been hearing that it's a really rowdy party so I'm a little nervous about it! It's held at one of our fire halls and it's kind of a potluck. But there will be drinking and a DJ. I don't drink at all (I'm diabetic) so I'll be bringing my video camera:rotfl2:

Kimba

Ok - so carpool is complete & Supercuts doesn't open until 9, so I get to play on the computer!:surfweb:

sandy - emily's bday is April 4. My mom is Monday and Jim is Tuesday!! Uh-oh here comes panic mode again!

kimba - Sweet 16 is such a fun bday!!! We had a suprise party for Sarah - mostly friends, but family too! It was great!! On the table with the cake I put out framed pictures of her as a baby! What do you have planned? I have never been to a firefighter party that wasn't rowdy! :rotfl: I am pretty much the DD :drive: Our FD is bringing back the firefighter's ball this year. They sent out a cool history about the presidents who have come to Mobile in the past. I don't know if we will go. I told Jim it is up to him. They will probably decide as a crew and then either all go or not go. They just better give me more than a day or two notice!!!

Karen - I'm on the edge of my seat.......how did the party go last night???:yay: Please let us know - I want details!!!!!! :teeth:

Kimba - I know how you feel about your 16 year old turning 16, because I can't believe Stephanie is having her First Communion April 26th:eek: Weren't these kids just born yesterday:confused: It sure feels like it, doesn't it?!
**Have fun at your FD party tonight :cool1:
Our FD doesn't have anything like that, and it sounds like fun.
I can't drink either, because alcohol has a terrible effect on my eyes, so I guess you and I will always be the designated driver :thumbsup2

Well, I gotta get to work
Have a good day today everyone!!
