Happy Saturday. The weather is beautiful here today. Nice and cool this morning with highs around 70, not a cloud in the sky!

Sarah is having major room mate issues, so Jim is driving up there today tomove her. She just seems to be a magnet for crazy roomies! She will stay with some friends until the end of the semester & then move into the sorority house.
James has a game and Emily and I have to coach the cheerleaders. Then tonite Emily and I have to finalize everything for the baby shower we are throwing next weekend. Always busy!!

I am getting very excited about our trip. Emily got her uniform for the parade in and now it is starting to get really exciting, I am sooooo ready to be on vacation!

Work has been really busy and I have had some late nights. Hopefully it will settle down next month as we all figure out where all of these places are.

Have a great day!
Sandy - come home soon!! I miss you!

Honey........I'm home!!!!!:wave2:

We got in yesterday at around 3pm, and I've been unpacking and doing laundry ever since:laundy: (except for sleep, which was really great in my own bed:goodvibes )
Vacation is definitly over!!!:sad1: :sad1:

We had a wonderful time on this cruise, and I'll go into details later.
We had a rough time on Wednesday and Thursday - there were strong winds, and strong waves. Needless to say, I became very very seasick on Thursday:guilty: Thank goodness for the kids clubs, so they could have the kids while I stayed in bed all afternoon (I was very very green if you know what I mean). I managed to get myself up and ready for dinner (semi-formal night), but I didn't eat much - just crackers and gingerale (and it was lobster night:sad1: ). Thank goodness the winds settled down, and so did my stomach, and I felt better the next day for Castaway Cay:thumbsup2

Now I need to catch up on what I missed, but I first need to take a shower. I always miss my own shower when I'm on vacation:rolleyes: Have a good day today!!

Sandy:

:bday: party:

I am so glad your day got better!!!
Thanks for the happy birthday!! :goodvibes

That's a bummer about Sarah having roommate problems:guilty: Did she move in with someone else, or is she going to be alone now? I hope things get better for her:wizard: It's hard to study when you have stress:headache:

I bet you are getting excited about your trip:banana:
Do you like her uniform?

 sandy - I am so glad you are home and had a great time! Sorry about the seasickness!
The seasickness was awful!!!!
The boat moved so much, that we still felt swaying the whole weekend:eek: I thought it was just us, but when I checked the thread of DISers that went on our cruise on the cruise board, they said they were the same way.

Well, I gotta run and get ready for work
Have a good day today

Jim helped Sarah move in with some friends until the end of the semester. Her boyfriend lives there so I am not thrilled about that, but she can't stay with a psycho chick who is violent and stalkerish! That arrangement is just until the end of the semester (about 1 month), then she will be home for the long winter break. When she goes back, she will move into a room in the sorority house.

I do like Emi's uniform. It's very basic, red, white & blue. I am hoping to get good pictures! I hate to split the family for viewing, but I may just to make sure we get some good pictures.

James' team won this weekend. We have a make up game next Saturday and then the playoffs start. We have been winning alot this season, but we are really struggling.

sandy - how did the shop do while you were gone?

:surfweb:

Kevin got all our pictures on CD's - over 1000 of them
When I get them on the computer, I'll make a TR and share some pictures with you :goodvibes

Karen - I'm glad that Sarah is away from her scary roommate. I wouldn't be happy about Stephanie living with her boyfriend either, but it's much better than the alternative ::yes:: Sarah is a good girl, and she will make good decisions.
*I'm glad you like Emily's uniform :)
*Congrats to James and his team for winning this weekend :cheer2:
*The shop was closed while I was gone, but the Saturday we left the girls were pretty busy (the first busy on a Saturday). So that was pretty good :thumbsup2

Well, the shower is calling - have a good day today!!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Halloween today!!!!

What is everyone's plans for Halloween?
I am closing the store at 5pm, and the taking the girls to my mom's (I'm getting them ready at the store and leaving straight from there). After we get to my mom's we trick or treat to Kevin's parents house. After we see them, we trick or treat around the neighborhood beck to my parents house, and then stay there for dinner. Dinner always is chili and hotdogs (we've been having that since I was a young child). It's always a nice night!!!!:goodvibes

AAARRGGGHH!! I am running late after finishing Em's chores from last night and searching for her shirt for school!! I hate being late! I think it is some vicious combo of being a twelve year old girl and ADD!!!

We always trick or treat in a big group with 3 or 4 other neighborhood families. I "asked" Jim to not put in for OT so he will be home! Woohoo! :woohoo: I hope we don't run late at work!

Have a super day!

Halloween was very nice!!! :goodvibes
My parents neighbors, and my inlaws neighbors always enjoy seeing the girls dressed up. The girls had fun trick-or-treating, and they came home with lots, and lots, and lots, and lots of candy :faint: I never know what to do with it all:confused3 I always used to take it to work, but this year, I'm the only person at work, and I sure don't need to be eating all that stuff:sad2: I already gained weight from that cruise, and I can't afford to gain anymore:sad2: So, if anyone wants some candy, let me know ;)

Karen - I hate being late and rushing too. That's why I get up this early everymorning - so I can relax and take my time :) How was trick-or-treating - did everyone have fun??

Well, that's about it from me today
Have a good day today eveyrone!!

:surfweb:

Boy, I"ve been sleeping so good lately - this cooler weather is good for that!!!
My hands though are terrible:guilty: The cold is definitly not good for them:sad2: Going from warm to cold like we did really makes them worse - it did in January too when we went to WDW for that warm weekend. No need to send PD my way - I'm going to ask that for something else (my hands will never get better, and I've excepted that)

This morning I'm going to ask for your prayers and PD for 2 different things.
**My neighbors baby (18 months) is in the hospital after getting a spider bite on her leg. She had a terrible reaction to this bite, and is suffering from a very high fever and a very painful lump on her leg. She's such a sweetheart, and I hate to think of her being in the hospital :guilty:
**A fellow firemans (and friend) brother died unexpectedly 2 days ago. He was 37 and fell over a dead of an instant heartattack. The wake is today and funeral tommorow - please keep this family in your prayers - this sudden death is a huge shock to them.

It's time to start getting Steph up for school :teacher:
Have a good day today everyone!!

sandy - well I have PD to spare for all three - for your neighbor, the firefighter's family and your hands! I will be thinking of all of you today!

Emily & I are hosting a baby shower for one of her cheerleading coaches tomorrow. I am still trying to finalize the menu. Since it will be mostly kids alot of stuff won't work. I decided on cupcakes to make serving more simple. I was going to order them from Wal Mart, but Emily wanted the "good" ones, so I called Buttercreme Dreams (bakery here) and ordered 36 cupcakes. I guess I will figure out the rest of the menu when Emi & I walk thru the store and she says "ooohhh - I love those!"

Em & I are working hard getting our park squad ready for competition. Every practice I spend with our 6 year olds reinforces to me that changing my major from teaching to nursing was a good choice!

Well have a super Friday everyone!

Good luck with finalizing the baby shower :wizard:
You are so good about things like this - I'm jealous because I'm not:sad2: I starting to stress about what I'm going to do for Stephanie's first communion in the spring. I need to fly you up and take care of it, because you're so good at planning events:goodvibes

OOOhhhh - First Communion! Our family has done it two ways (we've had lots of these). One is a casual get together at the house after the Mass. The other has been to let the kid pick where they want to go, show up , eat, play, have cake. (my Mom came up with this tradition). We have been at Chuck E. Cheese, big arcades, etc... I like the kids choice just because it helps build the excitement for such an important event. The home party is nice also because you can invite more people, elderly relatives would be more comfy, etc... Just let me know when it's close & I will be your personal party planner!

We got everything for the shower. We are preparing everything for the games tonite. I will wrap the prizes tomorrow. The church hall we are using has a kitchen, so I can cook everything there. I just have to remember to pick up the cupcakes & then we should be all good! Well I am off to research more names of baby animals!

The kids choice is fun, but that would never fly with my family:sad2: My family definitly likes things at home, or restaurants so they can all visit together. I will definitly be coming to you for advice
when the day draws closer ::yes::

Good luck with the shower today:wizard:
I"m sure everything will go great - you do awesome with these functions:thumbsup2

Did everyone enjoy their extra hour of sleep :goodvibes

Today is an outside day here at the slo house.
I have lots and lots to do today - cut down hostas & daylilies, pull out dead flowers, put away pool furniture, & etc. It's going to be a nice day, so I'm actually looking forward to it:)

Karen - How did the baby shower go??? I'm sure it went perfect.

Well, I gotta run - have a good day today everyone!!

Hello!

The shower went well yesterday. I was pretty tired, though! It was a busy day. James' team won their game. Luckily, we played earlier, so we were all done in plenty of time to set up for the shower.

I like falling back! I enjoy the extra hour!

Did you get all your outside work done? I love the weather we are having right now. Cool at night, sunny and warm during the day, nice breezes!

Have a great evening!

I am so glad the shower went well for you - that's great!!! :woohoo:

Tell James that I said congratulations for winning his game :cheer2:

I did get all my outside work done yesterday
I tore out 6 bushes, picked up tons of sticks (we have a very messy try in the backyard and I hate it), cut down hostas and daylilies, and pulled out all flowers - I am officially ready for winter!!!! :thumbsup2

Now I must get ready for work ;)
Have a good day today!!

We don't do a whole to get our yard ready for winter. My hibiscus out front are still huge and blooming. When it does get cold enough to start turning the leaves brown, I will cut them back and cover them with pinestraw until next year. Jim's satsuma's and lemons are about ready to be picked.

Emily went yesterday for a private tumbling lesson yesterday. She hasn't been to a tumbling class for about three months! She really did well. She hasn't lost her skills - they are justa little rusty. She is so sore this morning. Apparently, tumbling non stop for 30 minutes and then doing 200 crunches and 50 push ups leads to soreness!! :rotfl:

I am so ready for our trip!!! I am really excited about going, butit is so weird to be planning things without my mom.:confused3 It just feels strange!!

Have a super Monday!!

Burr......it's so cold here!!! :cold:
I hate cold!!!!

I wish I lived somewhere like you Karen - that would make me happy :sunny: I bet you are getting so exciting about your trip :cool1: Have you started packing yet? I wish I had some more experienced employees so we could go to WDW for a long weekend - I miss going there with the kids this year :guilty:

I have to go get ready for work, because we are leaving early today. This is voting day in our town, and I can only go before work.
Have a good day today!
