Calling all Experienced travelers!!

Quick question ...my flight arrives (supposedly) at 6:45pm on Friday May 20th. How long does it take to pick up bags, get the rental car from avis, and get to the WL? I know...I know...it probably depends, but just an educated guess without major delays!? I am wondering because we are using the wegoshop people to drop off groceries and they only deliver until 9. Also, I have made PS for 9:10pm at Whispering Canyon. Will we make it in time or should I change the arrangements we had?!

If everything is on time, you should make it by 8:00-8:30.

I usually give myself one hour after flight lands, but to consider:

- I am usually in one of the front rows on the flight
- I know MCO inside and out
- I use affinity programs for car rental to bypass the line
- I can drive from MCO to any Disney resort practically eyes closed!

I would give yourself 90 -120 minutes from the time the flight lands til you are in your room.

I recommend taking the 417 vs the Beeline - it is less travelled, most of the time. Remember to have your passenger have 2x $1 ready for tolls - the first one is when you get on the 417, the 2nd one is close to where you exit for WDW.

Affinity programs are like frequent flyer programs. ie National's Emerald service, Hertz Gold, etc etc......

I would think that Avis has one - check out their site. Note that for rental cars, however, you may need to pay for membership in their program, unless you get it free through work, etc.
