They are a PA Dutch Treat for Fat Tuesday, and are like donuts made out of Potato Flour instead of regular old flour. They are DELICIOUS.

Hi everyone,

Dlandchick was feeling pretty yucky after the new round of chemo started on Wed, but then she got a surprise package for Paula Deen's Lady & Son's restaurant on Thurs. You've never seen someone perk up so fast! She has read the menus so many times (um, so have I--good thing the dinner one is laminated) that she knows what she'll order for both lunch and dinner. There was also an autographed photo and a T-shirt. Woot!

We've kept an eye on Hope the Bear's progress and quite envy her. Does she have a full pin lanyard, or what? I hope she used sunscreen while she was at the beach.

She's feeling OK and has started working with her home school teacher . She's not thinking about food 24/7 anymore, but we do like seeing the pictures you have posted. The pretzel "bacon" was ingenious and Happy, Chelsea loves Alton Brown, too. We enjoyed the Feasting on Asphalt series, until the unfortunate accident...

I wanted to come on and share a funny Paula Dean story for you today....

Yesterday LimeGreenDis and I were out and saw a Paula Dean magazine. He was flipping through it and said..."Mom! Did you know Paula Dean is a cannibal?!" I could NOT figure out what he meant

The he showed me an article about her new grandson Jack. She said that he is just "delicious" and she is sure everyone will want to "eat him up"

Next time you see her on TV making something, you'll have a new reason to laugh

Hie Dland,

It's tuesday, and that means shopping for me. The grocery store was in a mess with ppl cleaning the shelves etc. ( glad it wasn't my job to do!)
