Calling all diabetics, especially those on the pump

You shouldn't have any issues with it. I have traveled with my meds and syringes before and never once has it been any troubles. I always bring them in my carry on as you never want to lose them.
 
My husband (pump wearer) always carries a letter from his doctor stating what he should have with him. Also, your blood meter should not be put through the security scanning system. Just let them open it and look through it.
 
DH is diabetic and on the pump. He did set off the metal detector several times before TSA figured out that the belt clip for his pump holster was setting off the alarms (and they couldn't ask him to remove it, since they thought it was part of the pump itself - DH voluntarily took off the holster, sent it through the x-ray machine, and carried the pump through the detector), but that's been it so far...

I second getting the note from the MD...
