Calling all DH's

Count me in !! I'm the "Disneyholic", and as of the last trip, the planner (along with Lisa from Magical Vacations !) I'm a 53 yo DD, with a DS (15) and DD(10), and my DW. My DS, the future Imagineer, is the true fanatic, but I am not far behind. We were just at the world from Aug 15-24, and I planned the entire trip (with much info from the DIS !) Except for the fact that my DS came down with mono while we were there, it was our best trip yet. I did a fine job, if I don't mind saying so !! Have fun !! :thumbsup2

OK since all them men seem to be all in this thread. Can someone help me convince my boyfriend that Disney is not just for children and it won't hurt his reputaion with all his single buddies if he comes with me to Disney World. He's never been and I don't know how to convince him to come. Neither of us have children so he dosn't think he needs to go. HELP!!!!!

Just get him there. He'll be hooked once he arrives.....

This message is for Little Miss Liberty. Tell your BF that if he doesn't want to go to Disney with you, that's fine. And then tell him not to be surprised if you hook up with one of the tons of single guys (maybe a CM !!) while you're there !! He'll go. Good luck !!:thumbsup2

There are tons of stuff for adults to do at WDW check out the Adults and Single forum on the boards.

Does he like to golf? Disney has some of the best courses in Florida.

For our first trip my DW did most of the planning. I gave her budget and some great recommendations on what to do. She went completely overboard with the meals and the budget. It was a nightmare. We rushed around just to get to all the restaurants and shows. After that I convinced her to try to drive to WDW and let me do the planning. We go on the cheap (to a degree) but we get to go twice a year. All our friends ask me for Disney advice and boy am I ready. I make them little care packages with WDW maps, park maps and a dos and don'ts list.

The family pokes a little fun at me but when they do I let them plan our day at a park and after a couple hours of wandering around doing nothing I always have to take over.

I'm doing all of the planning for our first trip. DW has finally grudgingly agreed to go.(the offer from our DD's 22 Yo ballet teacher to take her place seems to have swung her vote!:rotfl2: )
I have learned so much from the DIS that even if I only retain half of it, it will make for a great trip!

Count me in. We went on a whim in 06. Three days later bought DVC. Now six trips later we spend many nights on the DIS planning and replanning every aspect of our next trip. We both love to plan but I can't stop.I think I might have a problem.

Another DH here. Both DW and I were brought up going to WDW so it only amplified when we met and got married. Now our kids are being properly groomed and with DVC I know we will continue. We love to talk about anything Disney and both spend a lot of time on the DIS.

I've been a Disneyholic since I was a kid, back in Brazil.
Today, my wife is a Disney fan because of me. I took her and our son to WDW for their 1st time last year.

DH here, I'm the disneyholic. My wife leaves all the planning to me. She also calls me the disney dictator when we are there, Up at 7:00 for coffee, and the days are planned out in advance, she likes to sleep in since she is in Disney, not me I like to be up early and get out to do things.

This year however I decided to take it easy on her.

:wizard: :goodvibes I was/am the mickey person in my household to the point of a mickey tat....planned and excuted the last vacation...hopefully again in '08.

I am definitely the Disney planner of the family. DW & DD13 are strictly along for the ride.:rotfl2: I will solicit their opinions on character meals, where they would like to stay(within $$$ reason) & what parks to visit and after that I take charge.

Next visit...April 08!!!!!

Tell the macho man that he will have a great time and that you have some after-park surprises in store to reward him for his cooperation!:lmao: :lmao:

If he doesn't buy into that, let him know that there are tons of single dis fans that you have been communicating with who may want to take his place!:rotfl2:

Another DH here. I do the majority of the planning for all of our trips. Wouldn't have it any other way.
