Calling All Cupcake And Cake Addicts!!!!

We have this AWESOME bakery in town and they make THE best cakes and cupcakes. They use that super-sweet, thick icing as opposed to that whipped junk (don't get mad, Whipped-Lovers). I find myself callingup there and ordering small cakes and pretending it is for a birthday party, but I come home and eat them myself. I have them write, "Happy Birthday (insert creative name of no one I know)!"

That is so dorky, but I am addicted to their cakes and cupcakes!!!!!

I guess that is why my boyfriend calls me Cupcake!

Good news, my birthday is in 10 days and my mom is going to order 24 cupcakes for me to take to work so I now I really have a good reason to pig out!!!!!

Buttercream (the super thick frosting) is amazing! I can't stand the whipped junk either. Do you put your cakes in the fridge? To me buttercream frosting is better ice cold.

I skip the 'happy birthday' on cakes and have them decorate the top with flowers made from buttercream.

I think I need to go buy a cake now.

You can buy buttercream icing and just make your own cakes. Duncan Hines is the moistest IMO. Cheaper this way!

Unfortunately, my nursing baby is allergic to eggs, so I can't eat stuff like that unless I make it at home and use an egg substitute. Would it be wrong to wean him for chocolate cake?
