I have been having the HARDEST time deciding where to stay for our upcoming trip. I have gone back and forth a million times...took family votes, drew from hat, changed my countdown timer more than once, looked at pictures until I can't take it anymore!!!!! We have enough $$$ in our vacation fund to stay wheverver we want (with concierge). It makes deciding so much harder. This morning I got to thinking about CSR (again). DH and I only stayed there one night back in March 2003. We paid $109 and thought it was a steal! If there's anything that diehard CSR fans know it's this... CSR is the best kept secret at Disney. I remember how shocked I was when I arrived. I couldn't believe how beautiful it was. I have only felt that way one other time-driving up to the WL for the first time. I have an itinerary put together and am all set to make my ressies. Just need lots of confirmation!!!! Remember... I am just coming off of a stay at the BC. Remind me why CSR is the best!

You know my answer. CSR all the way. But I love the place. For $84.00 a night I'm at CSR in 7 days. You can't beat that. Margaritas by the pool, nice lounge chair under the palm tree, some nachos by my side. music playing in the background. I can see it now. Wet Burrito for dinner paying my 10% gratuity at the Pepper Market. Taking a nice stroll around Lago Dorado after dinner. Some say its too far but I love it. Stop on the bridge and just take in the beauty of CSR.

Deluxe, why? for a hallway? CSR has a spa, hair salon, gym and many amenities a deluxe offers. Try a massage.

Which Moderate would you pick?

Favorite Moderate & Why

CSR is the only moderate I would return to. I too was pleasantly surprised when I stayed there. I am a Contemporary fan but if it wasn't possible to stay there I would definitely go to CSR. And I love the pool area and bar!

We usually do a deluxe, but have stayed at CSR several times. We think it's quite nice and we like being able to get a room near the parking lot so it's a quick in and out for getting around.:earsboy:

Have you thought about using one of their "suite" rooms? I'm not sure of the cost.

Even though $ is not an issue, CSR is beautiful and a great value. Save the money you'd spend at a Deluxe and use it for great meals, Cirque du Soleil or some other special treat. Or save it for the next trip. Why break the bank on a deluxe? I'm really torn about where to stay on my next trip. I really loved CSR, but want to try a different resort each trip. My 4 year old chose PC.

I'm a big CSR fan as well. I've stayed at the Beach Club and liked it ok, but I would rather save the money and go back to CSR. The pool isn't nearly as crowded at CSR compared to Stormalong Bay. I prefer the food options at CSR to Beaches and Cream. The only thing that would really play a factor in my decision is the walk into Epcot. That is a big convenience staying at the BC. Other than that I found the bus service at CSR much better than the Y and BC resorts bus service (since they share routes) I guess for me it comes down to be able to go on two trips a year (moderate) instead of one at a deluxe.

When we bought DVC, DH said...does this mean we can't stay at CSR again?

So, we will stay there over the weekends when DVC points are double. It's beautiful and impressive.

I just LOVE hearing all these GREAT things about CSR since I'll be staying there for the first time in about 50 days!!!

CSR without a doubt. No question the best bus service. Eating a breakfast burrito in the morning or a wet burrito for diner is awesome. They have the best pool. We have two rooms at AP rate of $165 for both rooms including tax for 8 nights. We will be there in 9 days, can't wait!!!

:D

I like CSR because of the variet in its theming. Don't get me wrong, I love the other WDW resorts, but this resort offers something different.

I stayed in the Ranchos section and it actually felt like I was in the southwest US. The layout of the resort is beautiful and the early morning walks to get breakfast were peaceful and the walks at night were very romantic.

I loved the Dig Site, especially the long slide. The Mayan pyramid overlooking the pool is pretty cool to look at, too.

I wasn't thrilled with the Pepper Market, but thankfully, I ate only a few meals there.

I would give the CSR a 9 out of 10 and I would definitely stay there again in the future, after I have stayed at all of the other resorts i want to stay at first.
