We have heard that you can bring some of your own "beverage" on board. We read this in the Passporter. :Pinkbounc

Has anyone done this and if so what all did you bring? Beer or just some things for mixed drinks??

I know, I know, I am cheap!!
:rolleyes1

We are planning on beer/soda and mixers :) I also plan on a few drinks of the day too! :)

We brought a couple of bottles of wine for relaxing on the verandah. Of course, we never had time to actually relax on the verandah -LOL! We were too busy running around. We also brought a 6 pack of gingerale and drank one. I'm not sure I would bring stuff again, just enjoy the drinks of the day and consider it part of the cruise cost. :rotfl2:

first 4 day cruise I took a box, yes a box, of wine (how's that for cheap?) easier to travel with and i figured leaving some behind I was still better off financially; our tablemates brought in a bottle of wine for each night at dinner and paid the corkage fee (they preferred this so they could bring their favorites, i think they said the corkage fee was cheaper than the bottles avaiable to purchase) we also took water bottles. I may have taken diet coke too; but it wasn't available at drink stations then

for our 7 day this november I will be taking wine (yes probably a box!) and rum to make rum and diet coke. I won't be at a port until tuesday..........i'm sure i'll take a couple cases of bottle water (we drink alot of it 4 of us) and my DDs want to take a 6 pack of mountain dew in throw-away bottles. none of us are terrible fond of fountain pop

no need to be shy - it is allowed. lots of folks bring wine, beer, and ingredients to make mixed drinks in their stateroom. since cruising i have read you can actually order wine glasses from room service too! i'll be doing that for sure :)

prior to soda being free at the beverage station, we brought along 2 12-packs of diet coke in a suitcase ....we'd bring it already cold to the port (we drive), so the stateroom cooler kept it cold.....

I am thinking about bringing one bottle of wine and some bottled water this Thursday.

We usually take beer, wine, sodas and water. I was able to call room service to bring wine glasses and a cork screw a couple of weeks ago. Of course we just had to order Mickey bars, cookies and the all hands on deck cheese plate to go with the empty glasses.

Wodering how you all managed to transport the wine onto the ship without breakage....?? We have book our first cruise - a land and sea pkg for a 10/27 arrival at WDW Polynesian, and are very interested to know the ins and outs of these sorts of things! Thanks so much! :wave2:

We brought the mickey cooler on disneydirect.com for like $17 with the mousesaver discount. It's a soft sided cooler with wheels. It's no bigger then our carry-ons. We're going to get some bottled water and 2 bottles of wine. Dh might get some ginger ale and crown too.

Just make sure if you have a soft sided cooler you do NOT put any ice in it. You can't take ice on board.

I wrapped my wine bottles in tissue paper and then put them in wine tubes in my carryon! Worked perfect and then I used the empty wine tubes for small gifts and things to bring home... :cool1:

I will be bringing some wine with me in October! :goodvibes

I bring a few bottles of wine and caffeine free diet coke.. before soda was free , DH brought some root beer for the kids and diet coke for him..

I took a 12 pack of diet pepsi and put it in our carry on, which was really a small suitcase with wheels. Twice, we have been across from the room where they bring the luggage up to that deck and we have seen how the luggage gets thrown around. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc I would never pack anything liquid or that might break in my luggage. It gets tossed just like it does at the airport.
