Calling all cross stitchers!

Hi guys,

I wondered how many of you are cross stichers? I know that quite a lot of you are nto scrapping but I can't get into it myself so I have decided to stick to my Cross Stitch!

So I wondered if any of you who are into stitching would like to swap charts with me? if anyone is interested then either PM or email me and I will send you a list with all of the charts that I have.

I love love love to Cross stitch!! I have way to many charts to begin to list. I am currently trying to finish a small ornament to give DMIL for Cristmas.

I am a cross stitcher. Ialso have the best job in the world. I work at our local cross stitch store and I am the Event Coordinator. I plan two 3 day stitching weekends a year, and fun classes every month. We have a Friday night support group, and are working on our 2nd cruise. We also have different clubs that we join to work on specific projects (ornaments, seasonal, etc.) My DH accuses me of stitching in my sleep, but he kind of likes it now because of the perks. Please, keep on stitching!!

I used to really love to cross stitch, but I can't see well enough to do it any more. My bifocals are never adjusted well enough, so I take off my glasses. (I was originally extremely near-sighted.) I end up with a headache from being without the glasses.

DD is really into it though. She just got a couple small ornament kits for Christmas and one of Tigger.

I am an avid cross stitcher. Just finished the large castle with Tinker Bell. It is framed under special glass to keep it for future generations. It will be passed down to my Goofy daughter and then to her grandaughter, We are the three Disney fanatics in the family. It took me almost 2 years to finish. Everyone oohs and aahs over it. I am so proud of it.
When I was at the World of Disney at DTD I looked for another copy but was unable to find any more.
I wear tri-focals and I understand the problem of seeing the background, especially if it is dark in color. Working on a dolphin pix for a great=grandaughter and it is also on dark blue background. Ugg.

I just finished a small lady ornament for MIL next Chrishtamas and have begun to work on an 11x14 postage stamp santa on ivory aida in 18 count. This will take forever but it is such a great santa. SIL collects santas so hopefully next christmas it can be done.

Hooray! Some other cross stitchers!! I am desperatly looking for a Mickey and Minnie wedding theme! A very good friend is getting married this summer and as another Disney nut it would mean some much to me to do it for her. Anyone have anything?

I do counted cross stitch although it is tougher now that I've reached 40 and my eyes aren't as hot. I used to do it on the tiniest count and over two threads at a time. I love to do antique repro cross stitch samplers but I've done lots of other stuff. I have a hint for all of you: don't ever attempt cross stitch on black aida or any other cloth because it is impossible to see the holes!

When working on a dark fabric put a white towel under it or use one of those small push lights that run on batteries. It really helps!

Wow, cross-stitch of the castle? How cool is that!!

I do dabble a bit in it. Haven't done it in quite a long time though. I do have a lot of Pooh ones and baby ones and some Mickey ones, not many of those though. I would like to get back into it.

Actually I need to have what I have already done, custom framed or something.
