could you please define what you mean by creationist? Even the RCC has moved away from a strict belief in Genisis and supports inteligent design beliefs.

I'm a Catholic Christian, and we're taught that God created everything, but that the earth is not 7,000 years old, but billions of years old, as science shows.

I appreciate that our priests, when asked about dinosaur and human-like bones, say "we don't know, only God knows how He worked that all out." I like that they don't deny the science, but don't deny that however He did it, God created it all.

I am a creationist in that I believe that God created the heavens and the earth as it says in the Bible. However, I don't believe that the creationist date of the earth being approx. 10,000 years old is necessarily correct. I don't believe we really know how old the earth is.

But I think by definition, then, that's anybody who is not an atheist, despite one claim to the contrary.

In the US, though, creationist has become a euphemism for Christian (gasp!) over the last week.
